Greetings fine Felines and Hoomans of Greater Hivelandia!

Hope this day finds everyone healthy and happy — it's the weekend, once again, and that means it's time for another CATURDAY!

I love my sheepskin!

I sometimes speculate on how it was cats that became the Internet's informal "mascot," and I can only imagine that it happened because we cats love to get in the middle of everything you Hoomans are doing... and we don't just "stay on the floor" like most dogs do. That probably gave rise to silly photos of "cats doing what cats DO" and the rest is history.

At least that sounds good to me!

Meanwhile, this is now the last Caturday in August... so we had some fun looking at cat pictures from the past couple of months and picking out some we like!

Harvest Time

Since we are getting closer to fall, it's "harvest time" around here, and the Hoomans bring in all sorts of things from their garden, storing up food for winter.

Yes, cats are definitely meat-eaters, but we are also interested in green things!

Here I am helping the Dad-Hooman clean and freeze green beans! I just don't know why the Hoomans insist on using cat beds to carry their greenery around... I mean, I'm all for being a helpful member of the household, but sometimes it goes a bit too far!

You've sort of ruined this cat bed with all that green stuff....

Lockdown Time

Meanwhile, it looks like the Hoomans are headed for another round of Covid-related lockdowns... meaning they'll be spending more time at home with ME!

In truth, they spend a lot of time at home and I am grateful for that.

Makes me wonder how many cat lovers are also somewhat introverted and leaning towards being homebodies?

Seems like the two would go hand-in-hand!

Hopeful Crypto Time?

It's nice to see Hive getting a little more valuable... I'm guessing in large part thanks to the sudden growth of Splinterlands.

Although I was gifted some cards in the very early days of what was then called "SteemMonsters," I'm not really a gamer cat even though I do look a little like "GamerCat"* from the comic series.

However, I think Splinterlands is very cool, and their success is also Hive's success... and I do have a very tiny stake in the project, as a show of support. And hey... who knows, there might be enough to buy some cat treats, one of these years!

Birthday Time!

Meanwhile, in a couple of days it will be the Dad-Hooman's birthday! We have a lot of birthdays clustered around each other, at this time of the year. Just last weekend, it was the Daughter-Hooman's birthday... and she turned 30! Although she no longer lives with us, I will always be thankful for her photos and her early inspiration that led to the creation of the "Curator Cat" blog!

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the recently formed Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
