Hola mis adorados amigos de Hive. En este bonito día les hablaré de una actividad que tuve en mi trabajo, como ya les conté soy profesora de castellano, y también doy clases de una materia llamada Grupo de Recreación de ella se desprende una gran variedad de oficios para preparar a los estudiantes para su futuro en mi caso lo que enseño es costura. Mi mamá, mis hermanas, sobrinas, tías, abuelas todas son costureras, unas por oficio y otras por profesión, yo crecí viendo todo lo que ellas hacian y aprendí también.
Hello my beloved friends of Hive. On this beautiful day I will tell you about an activity I had in my job, as I already told you I am a Spanish teacher, and I also teach a subject called Recreation Group, from it I teach a variety of trades to prepare students for their future, in my case what I teach is sewing. My mother, my sisters, nieces, aunts, grandmothers are all seamstresses, some by trade and others by profession, I grew up watching everything they did and I learned as well.

En el liceo me pidieron que eligiera el oficio que iba a enseñar y yo de inmediato escoiji costura pues para mí es algo bastante familiar. Cuando mis estudiantes supieron que trabajariamos con eso se sintieron emocionados, ya que la mayoría no sabía ni siquiera meterle el hila a la aguja.
In high school I was asked to choose the trade I was going to teach and I immediately chose sewing because it is something quite familiar to me. When the students found out that we would be working with it, they were thrilled, since most of them didn't even know how to put the needle in the thread.
Yo tenia un poco de miedo, pensaba que a los chicos no les llamaria la atencion este tipo de clases, pero ellos aceptaron muy bien la tematica a trabajar, las niñas por su parte estuvieron siempre muy dispuestas a ayudar a los varones, fue muy gratificante verlos a todos trabajar.
I was a little afraid, I thought that the boys would not be attracted to this type of classes, but they accepted very well the theme to work, the girls were always very willing to help the boys, it was very rewarding to see them all working.

Nuestro horario son los miércoles de 4 a 5pm es una hora divertida, entre risas y aprendizajes pasamos ese rato. En este lapso les enseñe cómo cortar y elaborar un bolsito y una cartuchera todo hecho a mano. A unos se les hizo súper fácil pero a otros les costó un poco, yo siempre estuve ahí dispuesta a ayudar.
Our schedule is Wednesdays from 4 to 5pm is a fun time, between laughter and learning we spend that time. During this time I taught them how to cut and make a handmade bag and a pencil case. Some of them found it super easy but others found it a little difficult, I was always there ready to help.

Cómo es costumbre al final de cada lapso se exponen los trabajos realizados. Para el día de hoy escogimos nuestro espacio donde íbamos a decorar un poco para exhibir los trabajos. Todos colaboron, unos llevaron el mantel, los globos, los bolsos y cartucheras, también algunos pasapalos para compartir y celebrar que con éxito hicimos un gran trabajo.
As it is customary at the end of each term we exhibit the work done. For today we chose our space where we were going to decorate a little to exhibit the works. Everyone collaborated, some brought the tablecloth, balloons, bags and pencil cases, also some snacks to share and celebrate that we successfully did a great job.
Al igual escogimoa a un estudiante para que hiciera la presentación del grupo y hablara en forma resumida lo que habíamos trabajado y como lo hicimos.
A student was also chosen to make the presentation of the group and talk in summary form about what we had worked on and how we did it.

Sin duda trabajar con jóvenes es para mí un grato aprendizaje, así como ellos aprenden de mi yo aprendo de ellos. Los chicos tienen muchas ocurrencias y siempre hay un momento para reírnos y ser felices dentro del aula. No cambiaria por nada mi profesión.
Without a doubt, working with young people is a great learning experience for me, just as they learn from me, I learn from them. They have a lot of ideas and there is always a moment to laugh and be happy in the classroom. I wouldn't change my profession for anything.
A pesar de ser nueva en esta institución, he tenido un recibimiento muy acogedor, todo el personal me hace sentir como en casa, mi lugar de trabajo me queda super cerca de donde vivo, esa es la parte mas divertida de todas, estuve trabajando en un sector mas distante y gracias a Dios ya gozo de esta comodidad.
Despite being new to this institution, I have had a very warm welcome, all the staff makes me feel at home, my workplace is very close to where I live, that is the most fun part of all, I was working in a more distant sector and thank God I already enjoy this comfort.
