For me, who had never seen snow, the simple fact of arriving in Madrid and seeing that the tops of the mountains still have a bit of it was impressive. I feel like I haven't experienced it yet, but it's the closest I've been able to get to a snowy landscape. It looks far away and at the same time it is a very normal scene, but this had a great impact on me, because really all my life I have wanted to be in contact with snowy environments. Maybe if I had traveled a couple of weeks earlier I could have been luckier.
Para mí que nunca había visto la nieve fue impresionante el simple hecho de llegar a Madrid y ver qué la cima de las montañas aún conservan un poco de ella. Siento que todavía no la he vivido, pero es lo más cerca que he podido estar de un paisaje nevado. Se ve lejana y a la vez es una escena muy normal, pero esto causó un gran impacto en mí, porque realmente toda mi vida he querido estar en contacto con ambientes nevados. Quizás de haber viajado un par de semanas antes pude haber tenido más suerte.
My plane trip was one of mixed feelings because I really got very nervous. I was going very hard thinking that I would travel with Jhoxiris by my side, but it was not like that and that was the beginning of the chaos 😵💫 The seats are for three people and I was in the center, and as you will see I have a few extra kilos 😅 The sound of takeoff, rising, strange people, Jhoxiris far away andVisualizing that I would be there for 8 hours in the same way filled me with anxiety, in addition to thinking about my dad, my mom at that moment, there were many things, but then I calmed down and had a pretty good time until the plane started to descend 🤡
Mi viaje en avión fue de sentimientos encontrados porque realmente me puse muy nervioso. Yo iba muy fuerte pensando que viajaría con Jhoxiris a mi lado, pero no fue así y ese fue el comienzo del caos 😵💫 Los asientos son para tres personas y me tocó en el centro, y como verán tengo algunos kilos de más 😅 El sonido del despegue, elevarse, personas extrañas, Jhoxiris lejos y visualizar que estaría 8 horas de la misma manera me lleno de ansiedad, además de pensar en mi papá, mi mamá en ese momento, fueron muchas cosas, pero luego me calmé y la pasé bastante bien hasta que comenzó a descender el avión 🤡
When I arrived at the Madrid airport I understood that I was not the only one in the choir who couldn't sleep 😬 We literally spent the entire night awake and I had already gotten up early the day before. The night was also very short because while it was 2 in the morning in my Venezuela we were already very sunny from that hour crossing the Atlantic, but like this, with our worst faces we had to fulfill our first commitment. There was not even a chance to stop by the hotel.
Al llegar al aeropuerto de Madrid entendí que no fui el único de la coral que no pudo dormir 😬 Literalmente pasamos toda la noche despiertos y ya yo había madrugado el día anterior. La noche también fue muy corta porque mientras eran las 2 de la madrugada en mi Venezuela nosotros ya estábamos con mucho sol desde esa hora cruzando el Atlántico, pero así, con nuestros peores rostros teníamos que cumplir nuestro primer compromiso. Ni siquiera hubo oportunidad de pasar por el hotel.
We arrived directly at the Spanish National Radio facilities, which is right next to the television channel. Llegamos directamente a las instalaciones de Radio Nacional de España que queda justo al lado del canal de televisión. Teníamos una grabación para hacer publicidad, pero igual agradecemos a Dios que no teníamos que salir en video, porque estábamos fatales, aunque felices. Me impresionó mucho que sonamos muy muy bien, porque a pesar de percibir cansancio se notó en nuestro canto la emoción de entonar la primera obra en este país, y comenzamos con lo más potente, el Dies Irae. Nuestra directora dice que ayuda a calentar motores 😅
Then we had lunch, arrived at the hotel and met a friend we hadn't seen in years, although he is Jhoxi's best friend despite the distance. He was our tour guide for this area of Madrid where we are. So the rest of the first day was about walking and getting to know each other. I forgot about being tired at that moment, but when I got to the hotel I literally died and today I was resurrected 🤣
Luego almorzamos, llegamos al hotel y nos encontramos con un amigo que teníamos años sin ver, aunque es mejor amigo de Jhoxi a pesar de la distancia. El fue nuestro guía turístico por esta zona de Madrid dónde nos encontramos. Así que el resto del primer día fue para caminar y conocer. Se me olvidó el cansancio en ese momento, pero al llegar al hotel literalmente morí y hoy he resucitado 🤣
