Cada año en el mes de agosto se lleva a cabo la famosa feria de la ciudad, en conmemoración de la reconquista de esta tierra por parte de España, que anteriormente estaban en mano de los árabes.
Este año la feria se realizo entre el 17 y 24 de este mes y como cada año llena de felicidad entre los malagueños.
Son ocho días en que la alegría, el baile, la música y los colores rodean a la gente que concurre al lugar.
La feria se celebra en dos partes distintas de la ciudad. Una en la reconocida y calle principal Larios y la segunda en el recinto ferial, donde normalmente los domingos hay mercadillo. Pero también este segundo lugar es centro de recitales y otras festividades.
En esta ocasión, concurrí a la calle Larios para disfrutar de esos colores y esa alegría altamente contagiosa.
Mi madre también disfruta mucho de este festejo ya que le trae recuerdos de su abuela que era española y le hablaba mucho de las fiestas de España y las ferias, además de las canciones propias de aquí.
Every year in the month of August the famous fair of the city takes place, in commemoration of the reconquest of this land by Spain, which was previously in the hands of the Arabs.
This year the fair took place between the 17th and 24th of this month and as every year it is full of happiness among the people of Malaga.
There are eight days of joy, dancing, music and colours surrounding the people who flock to the place.

La otra característica es ver a la mayoría de las mujeres con una flor en la cabeza, o quizá dos flores y además la vestimenta típica del flamenco.
Llegando a la calle Larios pude ver la cantidad de puestos ofreciendo distintos artículos en la feria.
En común todos tenían la gran cantidad de colores llamativos.
Había puesto de flores, pañuelos de diversos tipos, muchos de ellos bordados, realmente una belleza.
Gente caminando aquí y allá, disfrutando de los distintos stands y no sólo eso sino también de la música.
The other characteristic is to see most of the women with a flower on their heads, or maybe two flowers and also the typical flamenco dress.
Arriving at Calle Larios I could see the number of stalls offering different items at the fair.
What they all had in common was a lot of bright colours.
There were flower stalls, scarves of various kinds, many of them embroidered, really beautiful.
People walking here and there, enjoying the different stands and not only that but also the music.

Había varios rincones de la calle donde se realizaban los llamados verdiales, cantos y música típica de esta festividad, que por supuesto tienen que ver con el flamenco.
También en varias calles aledañas la gente se reunía para cantar entre ellos, tocar la guitarra y contagiar alegría.
En lo particular las cosas que más me gustan de estas fiestas es poder ver los puestos.

Y hay algunos especiales para mí, por el contenido artístico que contienen. Los puestos donde venden los abanicos pintados con diversos motivos, esos son los que más llaman mi atención.
Tienen mucho colorido y además muy bien pintados. Eso lo admiro mucho como artista, es algo artesanal que me encanta y siempre está presente en la ciudad, pero mucho más durante los días de la feria.

No sólo la calle estaba muy bien decorada, por ejemplo, en las farolas, sino que los balcones de los edificios tenían esos pañuelos característicos que adornan de una manera especial.
Es una ciudad por naturaleza muy alegre, los malagueños son así y lo mejor de todo es que es contagioso. Amables y serviciales siempre es agradable charlar con ellos.
La gente comparte, charla, aunque no se conozcan de antes, por lo que estás fiestas unifica mediante la alegría.

Además de los abanicos otro detalle que me encanta son los pañuelos, que aquí los llaman de maneras especiales. Pero lo que más me gustan son los bordados en ellos, los detalles, la delicadeza y la excelente realización.
Fue como realizar un paseo entre recordatorios de la historia, las costumbres del lugar, el color, el arte, canto y baile y sobre todo disfrutar de esa alegría contagiosa.

Si bien es verdad que la realización de estas fiestas lleva mucho dinero, en decoraciones y armar estructuras, valoro que no se despilfarre ese dinero. El ejemplo claro está en que usaron la misma estructura artística en la entrada de la calle, que el año pasado.
La esencia es otra, es el motivo de porque la gente estaba allí y festejar.
Estar allí entre todos fue agradable, en un día muy caluroso, pero con energía positiva a mi alrededor.
