Hoy, como cada lunes festivo en Colombia, esta vez en conmemoración de los 485 años de la fundación de Bogotá, la gente sale de paseo a relajarse, a disfrutar de todos los hermosos lugares que ofrece la ciudad y a compartir en familia.
Nosotros, ya nos amañamos como dicen aquí, es decir, ya nos acostumbramos y también salimos de paseo los lunes festivos.
Esta vez, unos amigos nos hicieron la invitación para asistir el 26 Festival de Verano 2023 que se realiza en el parque Simón Bolívar, del 05 al 13 de agosto. Un evento en el que se realizan muchas actividades recreativas, deportivas, musicales y mucho más. Brasil es el país invitado para el festival.
Según estuve viendo en la programación del festival, el próximo domingo será el concierto de cierre y se presentarán artistas como Jorge Celedón, artistas locales y otros internacionales como Bonny Cepeda y Omar Enrique.

Today, as every Monday holiday in Colombia, this time in commemoration of the 485 years of the founding of Bogota, people go out for a walk to relax, to enjoy all the beautiful places that the city offers and to share with family.
We, as they say here, are already amañamos, that is, we are used to it and we also go out on holidays on Mondays.
This time, some friends invited us to attend the 26th Summer Festival 2023 that takes place in the Simon Bolivar Park, from August 5 to 13. An event in which many recreational activities, sports, music and much more take place. Brazil is the guest country for the festival.
According to the festival program, next Sunday will be the closing concert and will feature artists such as Jorge Celedón, local artists and other international artists such as Bonny Cepeda and Omar Enrique.
Todavía no conocíamos el parque Simón Bolívar, así que aprovecharíamos la oportunidad y disfrutaríamos del festival que nos habían dado muy buenas referencias.
Pues, les cuento que quedamos enamorados del parque, es inmenso, hermoso, mucho verde por todos lados y el festival estaba en todo su apogeo. La cantidad de personas que se dieron cita hoy en el parque era increíble. Me pareció una verdadera fiesta. Amé el ambiente en todo el lugar.
We still did not know the Simon Bolivar Park, so we would take the opportunity and enjoy the festival that had given us very good references.
Well, I tell you that we fell in love with the park, it is huge, beautiful, lots of green everywhere and the festival was in full swing. The amount of people that gathered in the park today was incredible. I thought it was a real party. I loved the atmosphere all over the place.

En lo que pudimos recorrer del parque, que creo no lo conocimos en toda su extensión, lo que se podía percibir era una verdadera fiesta. La gente disfrutando de la oferta gastronómica, niños y adultos volando papagayos. Muchos ejercitándose, otros leyendo, grupos familiares haciendo picnic y hasta celebrando cumpleaños.
Toda la movida y la energía bajo el cielo azul bogotano, en el parque que lleva el nombre de nuestro libertador, me dejó una gran alegría en el corazón.
In what we could see of the park, which I think we did not know in its entirety, what we could perceive was a real party. People enjoying the gastronomic offer, children and adults flying parrots. Many exercising, others reading, family groups picnicking and even celebrating birthdays.
All the movement and energy under the blue sky of Bogota, in the park that bears the name of our liberator, left a great joy in my heart.
Durante el recorrido por el parque me encontré con una tarima en la que se estaba haciendo una bailoterapia y no dudé en unirme un rato para darle alegría al cuerpo como la macarena jajaja.
During the walk through the park I found a stage where they were doing a dance therapy and I did not hesitate to join a while to give joy to the body as the macarena hahaha.
Me encantó encontrarme con esta zona de playa en la que los niños se divertían tal cual como si estuvieran a la orilla del mar, y también me impresionaron las esculturas de arena que estaban haciendo dos señores con mucha dedicación y talento.
I was delighted to find this beach area where children were having fun just as if they were at the seashore, and I was also impressed by the sand sculptures that were being made by two very dedicated and talented gentlemen.
Pudimos visitar los stands de la feria Hecho en Bogotá que reúne emprendimientos con la finalidad de mostrar lo mejor del talento en la ciudad.
We were able to visit the stands of the Made in Bogota fair, which brings together businesses with the aim of showcasing the best of the city's talent.
Necesitábamos refrescarnos un poco, ya que habíamos caminado mucho y Sofi había estado haciendo ejercicio, así que elegimos unos deliciosos helados de frutas. Sofi tomó uno de coco y yo uno de parchita que me supo a gloria. Muy bueno, la verdad.
We needed to freshen up a bit, since we had already walked a lot and Sofi had been exercising, so we chose some delicious fruit ice creams. Sofi had a coconut one and I had a parchita one that tasted great. Very good, really.
Al final de la tarde, cuando ya nos íbamos a regresar a casa, salió un hermoso arcoíris como para cerrar el día con broche de oro. En ese momento, sentí la necesidad de conectarme con la naturaleza para agradecer todo el buen rato que pasamos, disfrutar del arcoíris y hacer un rato de grounding que me encanta.
Pasamos un día espectacular y ya acordamos regresar el próximo domingo.

At the end of the afternoon, when we were about to return home, a beautiful rainbow came out as if to close the day with a flourish. At that moment, I felt the need to connect with nature to be grateful for all the good time we had, enjoy the rainbow and do some grounding, which I love.
We had a spectacular day and we have already agreed to come back next Sunday.
