Sunday, resting and checking various things. I find that it is the anniversary of the First televised presidential political campaign debate in history (1960), it was between John Kennedy and Richard Nixon, it was an event that forever changed political campaigns and showed the power of a media capable of stimulating two senses at the same time, which combined in its own way radio and photos from print media or moving images from cinema (but in this case directly reaching people's homes).

It is very interesting to comment that although the results of that North American electoral campaign were of a very small margin, with the Democratic candidate John Kennedy winning, it was found that the appearance and body language of the candidates during the television debate strongly influenced the electorate, showing the need to cultivate an integral language (words, costumes, movement, makeup, etc.) that would impact, if necessary, it must be admitted that those who listened to the debate on radio instead of watching it on television, considered that Nixon did it better ... and they may be right, but it happens that he looked terrible and his body language did not help him to connect with the public, he could not convince even though the content of his speech in words was apparently superior to that of his opponent .

With this event, the era of mastery of the image began, the trait of valuing the image above the content, the appearance above the essence, the spectacle above the veracity ... as we can see, current things was reinforced. they have deepened and today, with the new means of communication on the Internet and others, because it is simply like the evolution of what was already preconfigured in the 60s of the 20th century.

Ops! I almost forgot to use the frase that I usually make in this publication: 562 days have passed since the declaration of the quarantine in Venezuela due to the Covid19 pandemic. I do not have the desire to ruin the afternoon by reviewing the news, because I have the terrible idea that it is very possible that it is not very good, in short, I want to finish my afternoon in peace and at night I will review so as not to be lost tomorrow in terms of the events that were happening or the things that were notified in advance. I wish you are well and we can read another time.
Domingo, descansando y revisando cosas varias.
