A greeting to all who make life on the HiveBlog platform 💙 especially to all Venezuelans who decided to stay in our country and also a warm greeting to all those who decided to venture and try new opportunities, it was very exciting for me to see this contest that represents us all LaArepaNosUne since the arepa has been part of life from the youngest to the oldest, to be honest I had no idea that there was a day dedicated to the arepa and badly done on my part, so I plan to vindicate myself by sharing this story that could be curious and interesting and perhaps you can identify with it.
Desde muy pequeña mis padres, mi abuela y en general los adultos responsables de mi tenían la costumbre de que la hora del desayuno y la cena era obligatoriamente comerse una buena arepa, así que por supuesto dicha costumbre quedo en mi y la seguí con mis hijos, antes de irse al colegio desayunaban una arepa preparada de la manera que a ellos les gustara, pero todo no sale bien todos los días y en ocasiones no daba tiempo tener todo listo, entonces debíamos recurrir a las arepas artesanales que preparaban en lugares que quedaban en la misma vía al colegio y precisamente en esto es que me quiero centrar en este post y en cierto modo dedicar al gran esfuerzo de muchos Venezolanos que han hecho de la arepa un sustento para su familia y que a pesar de las adversidades de la actualidad en nuestro país siguen realizando el mismo trabajo y brindándonos el placer de seguir disfrutando de tan deliciosa comida.
Since I was very small my parents, my grandmother and in general the adults responsible for me had the custom that breakfast and dinner time was obligatory to eat a good arepa, so of course this custom remained in me and I followed it with my children, before going to school they had an arepa for breakfast prepared in the way they liked, but everything does not go well every day and sometimes did not have time to have everything ready, then we had to resort to the handmade arepas that were prepared in places that were on the same road to school and this is precisely what I want to focus on in this post and in a way to dedicate the great effort of many Venezuelans who have made the arepa a livelihood for his family and that despite the adversities of today in our country continue doing the same work and giving us the pleasure to continue enjoying such delicious food.
Estas arepas son preparadas de la manera tradicional casi de manera ancestral, con todo el proceso que necesita el maíz para obtener una masa suave. Conversando con la señora Luisa pude saber o mejor dicho pude investigar un poco o parte del procedimiento para su preparación porque ella dice que eso es un secreto de familia. Lo primero que hace es desgranar el jojoto o mazorca y ponerlo en remojo para que salga su concha o cascara después lo cocinan y por ultimo lo pasan por un molino para obtener la masa. Son unas arepas totalmente natural sin ningún conservante y el costo de sus arepas son dos millones quinientos mil bolívares.

Este lugar que les comparto queda muy cerca de nuestra casa y han sido punto de reunión no solo en lo que anteriormente les comente, también hemos coincidido con familiares y amigos que se lo recomendamos con los ojos cerrados, que a pesar de ser un lugar tan humilde lo que lo hace especial es su gente y la increíble atención que le brindan a todos sus clientes, una de las mas extrovertidas es la señora que me acompaña en la foto, la señora luisa, mejor conocida como la mama de las arepas y la razón es por el increíble tamaño de sus arepas, nunca he podido comerme una yo sola.

Fue mucha la alegría para mi familia y para todos en el sitio cuando recientemente decidimos visitarlos nuevamente, teníamos aproximadamente 3 años de no ir debido a todos los problemas a los que nos enfrentamos todos en el mundo, fue un momento muy divertido y en cierto modo nostálgico porque a pesar de los años transcurridos y del pasar del tiempo en las personas aun conservaban esa buena actitud, nos recibieron de la mejor manera y al ver este concurso fue en los primero que pensé, estoy segura que todos tenemos ese sitio de confianza al cual asistimos desde hace muchos años y no necesariamente se debe al lugar sino por su gente que representa muy bien lo que somos los Venezolanos, personas trabajadoras que sin importar cuantas batallas estemos enfrentando siempre tenemos una buena actitud.
It was a great joy for my family and for everyone at the site when we recently decided to visit them again, we had approximately 3 years of not going due to all the problems that we all face in the world, it was a very funny moment and in a way nostalgic because despite the years and the passage of time in people still retained that good attitude, We were received in the best way and when I saw this contest it was the first thing I thought of, I am sure that we all have that place of trust that we have been attending for many years and it is not necessarily because of the place but because of its people who represent very well what we Venezuelans are, hard working people that no matter how many battles we are facing we always have a good attitude.
