Hello, how are you! As usual for me, here I am again in this wonderful activity in which we are dedicated to remember through photographs our most memorable trips or experiences, this time I want to share with you what was part of one of my annual trips to the state of Zulia, since part of my family was there, they always came to visit us in July and August, then I went with them to spend the rest of the holidays, they lived in Cabimas, but in the photographs I bring you part of our trip to San Timoteo and of course, Maracaibo, the capital of the state. Now my family lives in the USA and I haven't seen them for some years, but we constantly communicate by phone and that's why I still feel close to them.
Hola ¿Qué tal! Como ya es costumbre para mi, aquí estoy de nuevo en esta maravillosa actividad en la cual nos dedicamos a recordar a través de fotografías nuestros viajes o vivencias más memorables, en esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes lo que fue parte de uno de mis viajes anuales al estado Zulia, ya que allí estaba parte de mi familia, ellos siempre venían a visitarnos en el mes de julio y agosto, luego yo me iba con ellos a pasar lo que quedaba de las vacaciones, ellos vivían en Cabimas, pero en las fotografías les traigo parte de nuestro viaje por San Timoteo y desde luego, Maracaibo, la capital del estado. Ahora mi familia vive en USA y hace algunos años que no los veo, pero constantemente nos comunicamos por teléfono y por eso en parte los sigo sintiendo cerca.
They are my cousins, Caridelis and Janeivis and although they lived in Cabimas they loved to go to the coastal town where their paternal grandparents lived, the name of the town is San Timoteo, although it is better known as moteo, it is very hot like the whole state of Zulia, but it is very relaxing to go for a walk along the lake, on the pier, so there we met every afternoon to receive the breeze while we talked.
Ellos son mis primas, Caridelis y Janeivis y aunque vivían en Cabimas les gustaba mucho ir al pueblo costero donde vivían sus abuelos paternos, el nombre del pueblo es San Timoteo, aunque es mejor conocido como moteo, es muy caluroso como todo el estado Zulia, pero es muy relajante ir a pasear a orillas del lago, en el muelle, así que allí nos reuníamos todas las tardes a recibir la brisa mientras conversábamos.
Sometimes we would go to the area of palafitos, which are houses and commercial establishments that people build over the water, it is something very interesting, here we are in a bar-restaurant that the locals call “La terraza” (the terrace).
Algunas veces nos íbamos a la zona de palafitos, que son casas y establecimientos comerciales que las personas construyen sobre el agua, es algo muy interesante, aquí estamos en un bar restaurante que la gente de la zona llama "La terraza"
It is a beautiful place where you can appreciate the sunrise and sunset quite well, but it is also possible to see some oil towers in the distance.
Es un lugar bellísimo en el cual se puede apreciar bastante bien la salida y puesta del sol, pero además, también es posible ver a lo lejos, algunas torres petroleras.
On other occasions we used to go to Maracaibo, the state capital, and it was quite a thrill for me to cross the famous bridge over the lake.
En otras ocasiones íbamos a Maracaibo, la capital del estado, y era bastante emocionante para mi cruzar el famoso puente sobre el lago.
The bridge looked majestic and imposing, for my cousins it was not something too impressive since they were used to cross that bridge much more than me, since they went to Maracaibo more often, I really enjoyed those trips.
El puente se veía magestuoso e imponente, para mis primas no era algo algo demasiado impresionante ya que estaban acostumbradas a cruzar ese puente mucho más que yo, ya que iban a Maracaibo más seguido, de verdad disfruté mucho de esos viajes.
On one occasion we went to the basilica of La Chinita, which is a very famous tourist spot in the area. It is a beautiful baroque style building that managed to capture my attention, inside the temple there is air conditioning as in almost all establishments in the area because the heat in Maracaibo is unbearable, but I also really liked a model of the basilica that is inside and that gives us an idea of the dimensions it has completely.
En una ocasión fuimos a la basílica de la Chinita, la cual es un punto turístico muy famoso de la zona. Se trata de un edificio precioso de estilo barroco que logró capturar mi atención, dentro del templo hay aire acondicionado como en casi todos los establecimientos de la zona porque el calor en Maracaibo es insoportable, pero también me gustó mucho una maqueta de la basílica que hay en su interior y que nos da una idea de las dimensiones que tiene por completo.
And in front of the basilica there was a beautiful fountain with many bushes and flowers as well as a statue of the virgin of Chiquinquirá, the patron saint of the city, although unfortunately I do not have pictures of the statue.
Y frente a la basílica había una fuente hermosa con muchos arbustos y flores además de una estatua de la virgen de Chiquinquirá, la patrona de la ciudad, aunque lamentablemente no conservo fotografías de la estatua.
We really spent very nice moments in that time, I met many great places and learned new things, plus I was able to spend quality time in the company of my loved ones. Thank you very much for reading this post 😉 I send you a big hug accompanied by blessings 😊.
