I've blogged about the SCP Foundation before. If you don't know what the SCP Foundation is you can read about it on Wikipedia. That's not what this post is about. This post is about the name of the Foundation. More specifically the domain name.
In the Wikipedia entry for the SCP Foundation linked above if you scroll down to the Explanatory notes section you'll see in the third note it states:
SCP officially stands for "Special Containment Procedures" in the organization's name...
I knew that before today. What I didn't know before today was that there was a .foundation domain. Once I found out about .foundation my exact words were, "Surely someone must have already (sound of my typing) IT'S AVAILABLE!?!"
Since Namecheap is currently offering it at $5.98 plus the $0.18 ICANN fee then, yeah, you bet I will register specialcontainmentprocedures.foundation.
