Hello!
I'm back to post a few more drone pictures. This time I went flying in Ocean Beach. More specifically, wanted to get some pictures of the Ocean Beach Pier. Probably one of the most iconic piers in San Diego. Last week I heard on the news that this pier has reached the end of it's useful life, and the city is making plans for replacing it. It's probably still going to take a while for the pier to be taken down, but since I already wanted to go capture some pictures there, this was a good excuse to make it happen.
Flying in Ocean Beach has a lot of restrictions and I had to be very careful. This beach is always crowded, lots of people, lots of dogs, and kites. But the main thing is that I can't fly above 60m (200ft) because the beach is on a straight line from the International Airport runway, located only 3 miles (4.7km) away. I could see planes taking off above my head all the time from the beach, still very low. I'm attaching a picture of my DJI app map, so you can have an idea.

Estou de volta com mais um post com fotos de drone. Desta vez eu fui voar em Ocean Beach. Eu queria fotografar especificamente o pier de Ocean Beach. Provavelmente um dos piers mais conhecidos de San Diego. Semana passada ouvi uma notícia que este pier chegou ao final da sua vida útil, e que a cidade esta planejando fazer um novo. Provavelmente ainda vai demorar um pouco para que este pier seja demolido, mas como eu ja queria vir aqui tirar uma fotos, essa foi uma boa desculpa para vir logo.
Voar em Ocean Beach tem varias restrições, e eu tive que ter muito cuidado. A praia esta sempre cheia, muita gente, muitos cachorros, e pipas. Mas o mais importante é que não posso voar acima de 60m de altura, pois a praia esta localizada bem na reta da cabeceira da pista do Aeroporto Internacional, que esta localizado a uns 4.7km de distancia. Eu podia ver aviões decolando sobre a minha cabeça o tempo todo que estive na praia, bem baixo. Estou anexando também uma foto do mapa do aplicativo da DJI ilustrando bem essa distancia.
