After a comment from @ksteem the other day about the drone noise of my Mini 3 Pro I thought I’d carry out a bit more of a scientific experiment, so Hivers here goes.
With no drone the ambient noise by my front door is about 41db it is a quiet little neighbourhood.
On the ground with the props running ready to lift off it’s 50db. Time lift off.
With the hovering just off the ground it’s around 68db
10m (30Feet) up and it’s back down to 50db and you hardly hear anything and less noise than a car going past the drive.
25m (75feet) up and were back to the ambient noise.
When @scubahead arrives back from his Jamaica tip I might try the same thing with his Mavic which should be an interesting comparison. I do know the bigger drones do make more noise but how much more will be interesting to find out.
