Aerial shot of a Harvest Balloon Festival in Old Buckenham, UK.

There was a harvest balloon festival on the weekend just passed in Old Buckenham, Norfolk. This was the second year the festival had been held.

Overall, the day was good..
There were a few street food stands, a falconry stand (no display flying as it was too hot), and a stage with entertainment and band playing sets that alternated every so often.
Visitors had the option to buy either weekend (camping) tickets or day tickets.

The main highlight is of course, the hot air balloons. The flights were dependent on the weather on each of the three days and as a result, there is limited social media related to timings because of that. Unfortunately, on that particular day there were no flights in the evening due to high winds.

This meant that many people and families would turn up with the hope of seeing them fly but no guarantee (similar to whale watching for example).

There was a 'night glow' around 6pm. The balloons were inflated, kept on the ground and the design was lit up by the flame.

(Excuse the mobile quality!)

The weather was very still early the next morning which meant..flights!
The only sound was the cockerel at a nearby farm and the burners feeding hot air.
Below is a shot of most of the balloons in the air with a view of the launch site just to the right of centre.

There was a temporary Flight Restriction Zone over the area so I flew just outside of it to the south. I was lucky that the balloons drifted away from where the drone was else I would have grounded it for safety.

Editing wise, I have a slight issue with the exposure from the sunrise on right side of the image. No matter what I did, nothing really affected it.
Anyone have any tips?

Take care!
