It is worth mentioning that the first cultural data concerning the Phoenix is found in the African continent. From ancient Egypt, along the coast of the Red Sea and the Nile River, to the enigmatic Ethiopia, where the ancient inhabitants of this geographical area, set the story of a mythical bird, believing it unique because it was born under the "tree of good and evil", which was "capable of being reborn from its ashes". From these African lands it lived and renewed itself during a period in which certain traditions fix its life every 500 years (even in 1,460 or 12,954 years).

Its appearance was that of an eagle of considerable size and very beautiful plumage, in which fire-red feathers alternated with phosphorescent blue, incandescent purple and brilliant gold.

The legend says that when the bird feels the end of its existence coming, it accumulates incense such as myrrh, aromatic plants such as cinnamon, oak and amomo branches; forming with all this a nest that combines strength with delicacy, which makes the symbolism that makes understand the meaning of the story flourish. He sets fire to this nest while singing a celestial melody that no other animal can sing. It allows its own flames to consume it completely and from the ashes a new Phoenix emerges. Reborn with more power and strength, bigger and wiser to continue living another period of his life. Thus, understanding the need to renew oneself each time to acquire superior wisdom.

According to another version: the Phoenix settles in the nest thus formed and dies impregnating it with its seed. The new Phoenix is born, picks up the corpse of his father, encloses it in a hollow trunk of myrrh that he takes to the city of Heliopolis and deposits it on the Altar of the Sun to be burned and kept by the Priests of the temple. He then returns to Ethiopia, where he lives nourished by incense pearls that reveal his aromatic presence.

In some places the legend maintains a biblical overtone, since it is related to the Garden of Eden and the story of the Creation of the human being. Some Arabian and Middle Eastern fables speak of its immortality that is renewed from time to time, of the melodious song that pleases the "Sun God", of several qualities: possessing rational human knowledge as compensation for its loyalty to the divine precept, the ability to heal with its tears, serving as "inspiration of good and evil" for all researchers of human and scientific rebirth.

In the different cultures of the world there are representations with very similar stories: in Russia (Firebird), in Japan (Ho-oo), in China (Fenghuang), in Egypt (Bennu), in India (Garuda). Among the pre-Columbian Central American cultures, the Mayan mythology stands out with the Quetzal. Within the Greek-Roman mythology, it was known by the name of Phoenicoperus (red wings) spread throughout the Roman Empire. The influence of Hellenic cults originated among early Christians the symbolism of resurrection and immortality. In many places it represents hope: the Sun dies in the evening (night), being reborn in the morning, stronger and more vigorous, where it is the value of the human being who should not die, maintaining a hope of eternal life.

The symbolism that maintains this legend worldwide, is the restructuring of a myth that shapes the human dimension in the development of the personality. The physical and spiritual rebirth, experiences the immortality of the spirit. Being a story that describes the purification of the being, it also symbolizes the willpower that each individual must possess to solve their problems and come out successful. Using the capacity of Resilience that an individual activates to "get ahead", to advance in his life, gaining strength in the face of adverse situations that arise during the course of his existence, having to make decisions that lead to a favorable solution of such situation.

The human being, necessarily, always seeks to establish a pleasant, stable environment, which provides joy and leads to happiness. It is not always so, there are critical moments in the life of any person located within the adversity that generates sadness, causing trauma, pain, anguish, fear; subjected to an unexpected tragedy where psychological tensions emanate, activating the defense mechanisms that make him overcome the difficulties and then adapt to any experience, which will make him restructure his resources of coexistence that he has learned through the time lived, in order to create new possibilities that allow him to continue projecting his existence towards a happy and more stable future.

The psychological dimension of resilience has many aspects that can be analyzed in comparison with the myth of the Phoenix Bird, which undergoes a process of transformation until it reaches its subsequent ascension. Similarly, the experience lived by a human being, makes this dimension be reborn when he selects his human values and mixes them with his own gifts to activate his strength and wisdom; it is like the "nest" of the majestic firebird, which allows him to go through this process of change and adaptation in his new stage of life: blooming with "branches and scents" that give resilience to his self-esteem, motivating his illusions and recovering his dignity with self-love.

They are elements, human resources that help, every day, to the full development of ascent to become a better person. Creating awareness of something fundamental, the radical change that experiences in its strengthening and integrity, being more careful and avoiding repeating the bitter and unexpected adverse experience.

“Rising from the ashes so as not to make the same mistakes again…”

As well as the fire and the ashes, which symbolize the past and remain as learning. These ashes will not be blown away by the wind, without forgetting that they are still in the past, they leave traces that do not allow us to lose the memory but at the same time, they give us strength to heal the wounds. The normality of the present will not be the same, since only the positive is taken avoiding to create iniquitous situations, to obtain a promising future where the future looks better. Like the Phoenix Bird, the ashes of his father stay with him, they are not carried away by the wind, they are part of his new life cycle: bigger, stronger and wiser.

The whole philosophy of this myth is applicable to the existence of every human being, with the particularity that no person possesses the same life experience of his peers. The integrity is individual, anchored to the personality.
