The Liberator in the Hands of the People
The mural that I present today is an image whose symbology is quite complex, it is located in the sector of Bellas Artes on one side of Mexico Avenue and on the so-called cultural circuit of Caracas, so I could see on the walls as far as I could see in the vicinity of the work it was sponsored by the Ministry of Popular Power for Urban Agriculture and broadly speaking we can highlight that this piece seeks to extol the glory of the liberator Simon Bolivar, but with a deep touch of respect towards nature and its different elements, to further contextualize this scene it is important to highlight that just on one side of this huge wall is the main entrance of one of the largest urban farming areas of the city.

El Libertador en las Manos del Pueblo
El mural que les presento el día de hoy constituye una imagen cuya simbología es bastante compleja, el mismo se encuentra ubicado en el sector de Bellas Artes a un lado de la avenida México y sobre el denominado circuito cultural de Caracas, por lo que pude apreciar en las paredes por lo que pude apreciar en las adyacencias de la obra la misma fue auspiciada por el Ministerio del Poder Popular para La Agricultura Urbana y a grandes rasgos podemos destacar que esta pieza Busca enaltecer la gloria del libertador Simón Bolívar, pero con un profundo toque de respeto hacia la naturaleza y sus diferentes elementos, para contextualizar aún más esta escena es importante resaltar que justo de un lado de esta enorme pared se encuentra la entrada principal del uno de las áreas de cultivo urbano más grande de la ciudad.
The mural has quite large dimensions, which is characterized by the use of pastel colors, the image begins with a light blue background, which seems to me that resembles the pure shades of the sky, right there you can see the shapes of a shovel and a pickaxe, as a central image we get a composition made with the shape of several hands, two of them seem to be planting something in the ground, at the height of the wrists, there is a space which is filled with a red heart, which seems to me to symbolize life, since it is connected by arteries to the whole structure, on it are located two hands with the palms up, one holds an ear of corn and the other some grains of the same cereal, both are joined by the wrists with the image of the Liberator Simon Bolivar on horseback, the same that is in bronze in the heart of the Plaza Bolivar and as a curious fact has a horse raised on its two legs, as a sign of a death in combat.
El mural tiene unas dimensiones bastante grandes, el cual se caracteriza por el uso de colores pasteles, la imagen comienza con un fondo de tono azul claro, el cual me parece que asemeja a los matices puros del cielo, allí mismo se aprecian las formas de una pala y un pico, como imagen central conseguimos una composición realizada con la forma de varias manos, dos de ellas parecieran estar sembrando algo en la tierra, a la altura de las muñecas, queda un espacio el cual es llenado con un corazón de color rojo, el cual me parece que simboliza la vida, ya que el mismo esta conectado por medio de arterias a toda la estructura, sobre él se ubican dos manos con las palmas hacia arriba, una sostiene una mazorca de maíz y la otra unos granos del mismo cereal, ambas se encuentran unidas por las muñecas con la imagen a caballo del Libertador Simón Bolívar, la misma que se encuentra en bronce en pleno corazón de la Plaza Bolívar y como dato curiosos cuenta con un caballo alzado sobre sus dos patas, en señal de una muerte en combate.
This is a mural that shows us a perfect union between the sowing and the work of the land, with the hard work of harvesting freedom, it is an example that Simón Bolívar is a man loved by all, but especially by that sector of the most humble population and that generally is the most forgotten by the elites of the time, it is a mural that manages to express in a single image the feeling, the effort, the union and the sacrifice that remains today to achieve and maintain our full independence.
Este es un mural que nos muestra una unión perfecta entre la siembra y el trabajo de la tierra, con la ardua labor de cosechar la libertad, es un ejemplo de que Simón Bolívar es un hombre querido por todos, pero especialmente por aquel sector de la población más humilde y que generalmente es el más olvidado por las elites de turno, se trata de un mural que logra expresar en una sola imagen el sentimiento, el esfuerzo, la unión y el sacrificio que sigue siendo hoy en día lograr y mantener nuestra plena independencia.
