CCC's Street Art Contest # 181 "The world in our hands", Rocket01, ...

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Today I want to share with you another work that is on display, without anyone paying a ticket for it 😋 (as is more than usual in this art), located in the Oriente region.

Surrounded by other works that I've shared here before, this piece entitled "The World in our Hands" was created by the well-known artist Rocket01!

With more than twenty years' experience, this British artist, born in Sheffield, where he expanded his perfection in 1994 with the use of 3D-style lettering, quickly moved on to a larger scale after a few years.

Using the walls of buildings, and now known worldwide, Rocket01 now lives in the Portuguese city of Porto, where he has his studio. His works are recognizable and unique, using a style of retro surrealism and science fiction, mixed with a hint of illusion and current themes such as environmentalism, technology, science and the natural world. Often using colors from the palette that tend to be closer to blue and green, and sometimes using reds, he gives those who look at his work a thread of his consciousness and his concerns.

Various natural elements are part of this work that I'm sharing with you today. At least one representative of each ecosystem... one animal for each environment it dominates... A whale🐋, a fox🦊and a swallow🐦... all form part of an ecosystem, a sphere that encompasses everything and relates everything. 🌌

Promoting the essential good for humanity to survive, represented by the female figure, full of fertility and ambition, she embraces the planet as if it were a child... Looking confidently to the future. Will tomorrow be sustainable? Will humanity as a species be able to change the course of its monstrous footprint on its surroundings? 🗺

Using more than recognizable symbolism, from the symbol of peace to the symbol of recycling ♻️, the sparkles and unique accents make his works a real oxygen bubble of concrete ideas so that we can change something around us.

We all have the world in our hands... what we do every day counts! It always has... We think that the power to change lies only with others, but we can do something that is within our reach. We can change mentalities, and by our example we can make action spread.

^{The hibiscus as an element of the flora gives an unexpected liveliness to the piece using, as I mentioned in the artist's biography, a unique touch with the use of the color red}

^{The posture at 3/4 shows a woman's openness to receiving what is given to her... without fear}
