Random finds #10: Mother and Child, Rotterdam, Netherlands

Hi there friends and graffiti lovers from across the globe. Welcome to another find i've done during my stay in Rotterdam last week in the nHow hotel on the Wilhelminakade.

The Artwork

On the building across the hotel in the Kop van Zuid, is this mural done by artist jdl aka Judith de Leeuw.

What's really cool about this artwork is, that you could have bought your own piece of it. As you van see in the close-up, due to the style of the building, the mural is "split" in smaller sections.

Judith painted it and "gave" it to the KWF charity (National Cancer Funds of the Netherlands), where you could donate and own a piece of this mural. Judith paint's mural inspired by real life, and this piece is inspired by 3 woman she spoke too for the KWF, who gave birth during their sick period and / or treatment for cancer.

In one of the shows they made for charity, called "Voor het Leven", you could see Judith paint this mural, and quickly after the broadcast all pieces where sold.
