Good morning, Street Art Lovers!
Here's an entry for the CCC's Street Art Contest #108, hosted by @digi-me.
Last week I went to Vila do Conde, to visit a food related street fair. When I was getting back home, I saw Professor Calculus and Snowy from the Tintin series.
They were standing in the walls of a decrepit building near the Metro station. Since there were a few minutes left before the Metro arrived, I took the time to get some photos.
The characters were small and simple.... but quite cute, as well. Here's a closer look at both of them.
This is Professor Calculus, he was following a locating device and obviously looking for something.
Following his tail was Snowy, looking as happy as always.
Sadly, Tintin was nowhere to be found. Could it be that's who they were looking for...?
Afterwards, I went to the Metro station. Just across the street I saw another Graffiti. This one was simpler, consisting only of a couple of letters.
On the background you can see that some works are taking place at the Saint Clare's Monastery, in the centre of the city. That's cool, they were needed! 😎
On this wall someone had painted the letters CBD. Most likely he was an avid weed smoker. 😆
I had seen this wall lots of times but never cared about it, it was nothing special. What got my attention this time was the new painting right next to it.
Someone decided to make a funny remark next to that saying "CB What?" 😁
It's more interesting in Portuguese since the letter D (Dê) rhymes with the word What (Quê). So, yeah, the funny part of this gets lost in translation... 🤪
I hope you enjoyed these photos and article! Thanks for stopping by.
