Animal Mural Along The Zoo Outer Wall — CCC's Street Art Contest #142

It's been a while since I last participated in CCC's Street Art Contest. This weekly contest has reached round #142 and the period to enter this round will end on May 7, 2023. If you're interested in entering this contest, please read more about the rules and procedures that must be completed for your post to be valid as an entry via the link I've embedded below: CCC's Street Art Contest #142

I spent the past 2 weeks in my hometown to enjoy the Eid holiday. During that long period of time, I visited many places to just reminisce about my childhood, as well as visiting locations that have their own value. One of the places I visited was Taman Hewan Pematang Siantar (Pematang Siantar Zoo) which is located in the city center of Pematang Siantar. This place is known as the most extensive, most complete, and best zoo in North Sumatra which makes it one of the main tourist destinations in this city. This location will be crowded with tourists from both inside and outside the region, especially during the holidays.

It's not just the collection of live and preserved animals that makes this place interesting, even the outer wall that runs along the zoo area is also very beautiful. There are at least more than 20 murals of various types of animals and their habitats that are very well drawn. As for some of the animal pictures I was able to capture, they include Lion, Leopard, Panda, Gorilla, Deer, Cockatoo, Stork, and some animals that I could not identify. Each mural also has its own uniqueness because it is drawn in various poses, different backgrounds, and interesting color compositions.

Despite the beauty of the pictures, I also have to say that there are things that also make me sad. That's because, in some of the mural paintings, the paint looks peeling and some also look dirty because of dust. I really hope that the management can pay special attention to these issues so that the masterpieces of the artists who have created these images can continue to survive for a longer time.

And here we are at the end of the post! Thank you so much for taking the time to read through and enjoy the pictures and stories I've shared. feel free to comment, share, reblog, and upvote this post if you think this post is of positive value. Finally, see you in the next post, and don't forget to participate in this CCC's Street Art Contest.
