To catch up about this wall, here is the series of photos taken last fall at the Legal Wall Rouen in two parts as two artists had many works. We'll start today with Olé and then the next post will be more focused on the work of Polographe.
Pour rattraper mon retard, voici la série de photos prises l'automne dernier au Mur légal Rouen en deux parties car deux artistes avaient de nombreuses œuvres. Nous allons commencer aujourd'hui avec Olé puis le prochain article sera plus axé sur le travail du Polographe.
I think I passed on a Sunday because there was a lot of activity under the viaduct. And so I went back on Monday to be a little quieter and not disturb the artists. I think that on the right of the photo, you can see Olé in action. Then you can see the silhouettes of a family painting, the father with his two children. I think it's a very cool family activity. No ?
Je pense que je suis passé un dimanche car il y avait pas mal d'activité sous le viaduc. Et donc je suis repassé le lundi pour être un plus tranquille et ne pas déranger les artistes. Et je pense que sur la droite de la photo, on peut apercevoir Olé en action. Puis on distingue les silhouettes d'une famille en train de peindre, le père avec ces deux enfants. Je trouve très cool comme activité familiale. Non ?

On de Rouen Street under the railways (even Google : Graffiti Bridge), Montreal, Canada. Just for info Legal Wall Rouen is a place where artists can paint in peace because the activity is permitted by the City.
Sur le rue de Rouen au niveau de la voie de chemin de fer (même Google a nommé ce lieu Graffiti brige), Montréal. Juste pour rappel Mur légal Rouen est un endroit ou les artistes peuvent dessiner en toute tranquillité car l'activité est permise par la Ville.

Leo Lecercle aka Olé is a Montreal based artist. His favorite theme is the portrait, often female, in a very Pop style.

With right next to it, a lettering made by Sawr (still doubts about this attribution) with This Bird don't Fly.
Avec juste à côté, un lettrage fait par Sawr (encore des doutes sur cette attribution) avec This Bird don't Fly (Cet Oiseau ne vole pas).
The result of the first pic of the post with an alien on the left by Suly. I had also come back to take a picture of the beautiful head on the left on the first picture. But no luck, it had been crossed.
Le résultat de la première photo avec sur la gauche un alien par Suly. J'étais revenu aussi pour prendre une photo de la superbe tête à gauche sur la première photo. Mais pas de chance, elle avait été tagguée entre temps.

These three skulls done by Suly are based on the concept of the Three wise monkeys. Suly is a painter and street artiste from Montreal. Above is a lettering by Pest Le Rouleur.
Ces trois têtes de mort faites par Suly reprennent le concept des Singes de la Sagesse. Suly est un artiste peintre de Montréal. Au dessus on retrouve un lettrage de Pest Le Rouleur.

But since the place is open and free, anyone can paint. It's sometimes difficult to find the name of each artist. Here are the few works for which I couldn't find the artist.
Mais comme l'endroit est libre, tout le monde peut peindre. Il est parfois difficile de retrouver le nom de chaque artiste. Voici les quelques œuvres dont je n'ai pas su retrouver l'artiste.
He looks a bit like the genie in Aladdin, a family resemblance. Cool character. 👍
Il ressemble un peu au génie dans Aladin, un air de famille.
Hard to tell if it's a lettering or a logo. But I like the tag of the monster with his knife on the right.
Difficile de dire si c'est un lettrage ou un logo. Mais j'aime bien le tag du monstre avec son couteau sur la droite.
