For today, I present you two murals for the price of one 😀 with one work done by Koal in Little Italy in Montreal and the other in Hochelaga by Benny Wilding. I usually like to do one post per artist with several of his works but these pictures were lying around on my hard drive for a few months already. So I decided to put them together.
Pour aujourd'hui, je vous présente deux murales pour le prix d'une 😀 avec une œuvre faite par Koal dans la Petite Italie à Montréal et l'autre à Hochelaga par Benny Wilding. J'aime d'habitude faire un seul post par artiste avec plusieurs de ses œuvres mais ces photos trainaient sur mon disque dur depuis quelques mois déjà. Alors j'ai décidé de les réunir.
Koal on Beaubien with his character who looks like a koala that took a little too much alcohol. Hard to wake up...

Not much information about Koal as his Instagram account is private. He's a Montreal-based writer often featuring between his letters a kind of hobo koala as seen in the photo above.
Peu d'information sur Koal comme son compte Instagram est privé. C'est un writer basé à Montréal mettant souvent en scène entre ses lettres une sorte de koala un peu hobo comme on peut le voir sur la photo ci-dessus.
Then we change of neighborhood and artists with this double lettering / Puis on change de quartier et d'artistes avec ce double lettrages :
Benny Wilding & Dark (?)
On the left, Dark (?) but no idea about the artist because the contact above doesn't give any information (You want one, contact...). On the right, however, I'm pretty sure it's Benny Wilding.The mural is from 2011, I had a doubt with the signature on the wall o but Google Street confirmed it for me 😀. 🗺️
A gauche, Dark (?) mais pas vraiment d'idée sur l'artiste car le contact au dessus ne donne aucune information. Par contre, à droite, je suis presque sûr qu'il s'agit de Benny Wilding. La murale est de 2011, j'avais un doute avec la date sous la signature sur la murale mais Google Street me l'a confirmée 😀. 🗺️
I recognize the style and colors used by Benny Wilding who discovered Street Art during a trip to New York at the age of 12 in the mid 90s, admiring the painted walls. He came back to Montreal to dedicate himself to it as well. He started in 1997 under the name Cemz for the lettering.
On reconnait le style et les couleurs utilisées par Benny Wilding qui a découvert le Street Art lors d'un voyage à New York à l'âge de 12 ans au milieu des années 90, admiratif devant les murs peints. Il est revenu à Montréal pour s'y consacrer aussi. Il a commencé en 1997 sous le nom de Cemz pour le lettrage.
