It's been a long time since I've wrote about two very prolific artists in Montreal. But as they're full of talent, it's always worth showing the works of Waxhead and Cryote
First convenience store on Des Pins Avenue
Today it's about two convenience stores that they painted the walls, located on Des Pins Avenue and Duluth Street, a 5 minute walk from each other. And you can go through an alley also decorated (Street Art #300) by Waxhead and Cryote. The neighborhood is their canvas 😀
WHERE

WHO
Waxhead
Born in Toronto, Waxhead is street-artist, painter, and creature creator (as he says) now based in Montreal since 2012. His style is quite unique, very coloured and detailed. His nickname comes from when he painted when he was young a dripping head on his school books, Waxhead was born. You often find his works mixed with those of Cryote on many walls, doors in Montreal.

His style and his characters are very easily identifiable and as he always signs his works, it's all the more easy to recognize them.
"My art is not really about the person behind it. It’s about the art itself. I’m trying to create my own world removed from me. I don’t see myself as a part of the picture, but as the creator of it. That’s why I don’t show myself. I’m just the creator of these creatures who pop everywhere. I think it’s fun to stay anonymous." - Waxhead (source : muralfestival.com)

Cryote
Sebastion Millar aka Cryote is street-artist from Ottawa now based in Montreal. He is closed to the 203 crew. As I said in my introduction, every time you see a work done by Cryote, you are sure to see a work by Waxhead as well. They're almost inseparable.

More posts about these artists, as you can see it's not the first time that I talk about them, so if I repeat myself a little at the level of bios sorry 😀 :
