Street Art #295 Labrona, Montreal

Labrona is a very active street artist based in Montreal and he proves it with this tribute to George Floyd, who died during his arrest by police in Minneapolis (US) last May. This horrible death has unleashed a wave of outrage around the world for Society to change, let's hope so...

Based in Labrona is a street artist, skateboarder, record collector. His work features characters typically Labrona-esques, faces with multiple colors underlined with marked black lines. For his prints, he refered to old masters like Titian, Otto Dix or Gainsborough, very eclectic...

Labrona is currently a resident artist at Le Livart in Montreal, Art Center on Saint Denis Street. During the lockdown, LiveArt had the very good idea to allow the artists to paint the walls overlooking the alley with the approval of the neighbours. I'll show you all this in a future post.

In addition, from 23 July to 16 August 2020, Livart will hold its annual Aire de Jeux festival with a market and exhibition. To be continued...

To make the transition with my next post, here are two doors painted in collaboration with Waxhead on Saint Laurent Boulevard on the shop Moog Audio:
