We are slowly approaching the 100th edition of this contest. Impressive. But until next week, here is my entry for this week's edition of CCC's Street Art Contest #99. Mort
Mort (Death in French) is a Montreal based visual artist and muralist. His universe is inspired by manga and US cartoons as well as skateboarding. Street Art and Skateboarding have always been good friends 😀. His work is a very colorful mix of abstraction and figuration. You can check out his Instagram account. It's worth a look.
Mort est un artiste et muraliste basé sur Montréal. Son univers est très inspiré par les mangas et les dessins animés US ainsi que par le Skate. Street Art et Skate ont toujours fait bon ménage ensemble 😀 . Son œuvre est un mélange très coloré d'abstraction et de figuration. Vous pouvez aller voir son compte Instagram. Cela vaut le coup d'oeil.
As I said in my previous entry (CCC's Street Art Contest #98, Kevin Ledo, Montreal), the game Gotham Knights features the Bat Family (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin) fighting to bring peace back to Gotham after the death of Batman. What I didn't know is that as part of the promotion of the game, LNDMRK, an advertising company from Montreal, was asked to create 4 murals with the 4 characters of the game. I am two short of finding Batgirl and Nightwing because I have already RedHood and Robin. 😀
Comme je le disais dans ma participation précédente (CCC's Street Art Contest #98, Kevin Ledo, Montreal), le jeu Gotham Knights présente la Bat Famille (Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin) luttant pour ramener la paix à Gotham après la mort de Batman. Ce que je ne savais pas c'est que dans le cadre de la promotion du jeu, il a été demandé à LNDMRK, compagnie publicitaire de Montréal, de créer 4 murales avec les 4 personnages du jeu. Il me manque deux à trouver Batgirl et Nightwing car j'ai RedHood et Robin.

I had walked in front of the mural when the lift was still there, but the mural was already almost finished. And I was against the light, it happens to me often.
J'étais passé devant la murale quand la nacelle était encore présente, mais l'œuvre était déjà presque terminée. Et j'étais en contre jour, cela m'arrive souvent.
