Fluke

Based in Montreal, Fluke began as a social worker at Café Graffiti at age 21. Shortly after, he was in charge of the artistic department and managed the sales as well as a team of artists and muralists. In 2009, he decided to found A'Shop, a creative company specializing in large scale murals and urban contemporary art with many artists like Dodo Ose, Earth Crusher, Benny Wilding...

The mural Lilia was painted on the side of the White Eagle Polish Society for the Poland 100 year of independence celebrations in 2018 with the help of Five8, Fonki and Dodo Ose.

Historical point (I know little about the tumultuous history of this country, always learning 😀): At the end of the First World War in 1918, the Treaty of Versailles confirmed the rebirth of Poland and the restitution of most of the territories that had been taken from it in the eighteenth century.

Thanks to Fluke Polish origins, he integrated certain elements of the country's culture such as the white eagle found on the coat of arms of the country, the white and red of the flag or the little girl in traditional dress...

On the other hand for other elements, I don't know the link as for the flowers (which seem to be columbines) or the feline (lynx ?) . So if you know don't hesitate to leave a comment. It would be appreciated 🙏

Some time ago, I had already posted a mural made by Fluke, a tribute to Jackie Robinson, an American professional baseball player of the Montreal Royals, then who became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball (MLB).
