Para mi este arte es súper fresco y divertido porque permite plasmar mucho de la autenticidad del creador así que con la propuesta de este concurso y la palabra Delay flui de la siguiente forma.
For me this art is super fresh and fun because it allows to capture much of the authenticity of the creator so with the proposal of this contest and the word Delay I flowed as follows.
Materiales utilizados: cartulina blanca, porta-mina 0.7, bolígrafo negro, goma de borrar, corrector de bolígrafo, marcadores y tiza pastel.
Materials used:white cardboard, 0.7 lead holder, black ballpoint pen, eraser, correction pen, markers and pastel chalk.
Tome el portaminas 0.7 y deje que mi mano fluyera con la palabra que tenía en mente intentando no separar la punta del formato para que salieran las letras ideales y que para el momento mi mano deseo plasmar.
I took the 0.7 mechanical pencil and let my hand flow with the word I had in mind trying not to separate the tip from the format so that the ideal letters would come out and that for the moment my hand wanted to capture.
Luego comencé a darle profundidad a las letras entendiendo que hice unas letras muy delgadas por tanto pensé que si las engrosaba las iba a descomponer, con el tema de la profundidad les quitaría esa delicadeza que surgió sin mucho pensar.
Then I began to give depth to the letters, understanding that I made very thin letters, so I thought that if I made them thicker I would break them down, with the theme of depth I would take away that delicacy that arose without much thought.
Una vez diseñada la palabra me ocupé del fondo, entrando en dudas si plasmaba una pared de ladrillos o mi típica mancha rebelde… ¿y que creen? me decidí por esta última que me da muchas posibilidades de decorarla al aplicar cualquier material.
Once the word was designed I took care of the background, doubting whether I would paint a brick wall or my typical rebel stain... and what do you think? I decided for the latter, which gives me many possibilities to decorate it by applying any material.
Después con mi boligrafo negro empecé a detallar todos los contornos para luego borrar los rastros de lapiz quendando la composición lista para aplicar los colores que darian más vida a mi lettering.
Then with my black pen I started to detail all the contours and then erase the pencil traces leaving the composition ready to apply the colors that would give more life to my lettering.
Quiero destacar que soy Venezuela y mi lenguaje nativo es el español, entonces para poder leer las normas del concurso use el traductor Deepl, al traducir al español la palabra designada “Delay”, en mi lenguaje significa retraso o postergación, entonces enseguida lo asocie al tiempo y de este modo en principio quise dibujar un reloj en alguna parte del diseño.
I want to emphasize that I am from Venezuela and my native language is Spanish, so in order to read the contest rules I used the translator Deepl, when translating the word "Delay" into Spanish, in my language it means delay or postponement, so I immediately associated it to time so at first I wanted to draw a clock in some part of the design.
Pero luego que separé en silabas la palabra DE-MO-RA, esto me hizo gracia ya que las dos últimas sílabas unidas se asociaba a la frutilla de las peloticas purpuras MORA, entonces fue cuando decidí dibujarla al final de la palabra haciendo enlace con la Y, como símbolo del significado que le encontré en mi lenguaje y por eso decidí hacer el lettering con los colores característico de esta fruta.
But after I separated the word DE-MO-RA into syllables, this made me laugh because the last two syllables together were associated with the purple-haired strawberry MORA, so I decided to draw it at the end of the word linking it with the Y, as a symbol of the meaning I found in my language and that's why I decided to do the lettering with the characteristic colors of this fruit.
Cuando creí que estaba listo sentí que le faltaba luz, entonces tome el corrector de bolígrafo y coloque destellos de líneas en algunas partes de las letras dándole un efecto bien interesante.
When I thought it was ready, I felt it was lacking light, so I took the pen corrector and put flashes of lines in some parts of the letters giving it a very interesting effect.
A la mancha rebelde decidí aplicarle los distintos tonos de colores que observo en la mora, y en la parte interna la resalte con el color amarillo en tiza pastel que luego difuminé suavemente con mi dedo índice por todo el contorno interno, use este color para jugar con los colores complementarios: amarillo – violeta.
To the rebel stain I decided to apply the different shades of colors that I observe in the blackberry, and in the internal part I highlighted it with the yellow color in pastel chalk that I then blurred softly with my index finger along the entire internal contour, I used this color to play with the complementary colors: yellow - violet.
De este modo muy complacida di por terminado mi creativo lettering con esencia de mora.
So I was very pleased to finish my creative lettering with blackberry essence.
