Trip to Kenting, Taiwan

We finished our summer camp exhausted and needing some R&R, so where better to go than to the south of Taiwan. Kenting is a very beautiful subtropical area with lots of nature and beautiful coast. So my son, wife, and I packed up the car and drove 5 hours to the Yoho Resort. Our family has been coming to this resort since my oldest was a baby, so over 20 years. Although it is still beautiful, the management hasn't been keeping up with the maintenance. So there are some facilities that appear old and worn. But it still has many special memories for out family.

Feeding the coy is one activity that all our children love. The surrounding area is very beautiful and peaceful.

Speaking of coming here for ages, this picture (on the left) at the resort is of my oldest son. That picture was taken about 15 years ago. On the right, is his younger brother.

This is the coast that boarders the resort. While it has a little sand, it is mostly a rocky shore. The trees make a nice contrast and provides extra shade. If you look closely in the middle, you can see my wife taking a picture of the ocean.

To end the perfect day, pizza across from the beach in downtown Kenting. Half Hawaiian and half pepperoni and mushrooms.

We are only staying two nights in Kenting. Tomorrow, we will leave the Yoho and stay at another favorite hotel.
