We cannot judge the book by its cover, the same thing happens with Kodaikanal, we cannot judge the serenity Kodaikanal offers in every part of it. Similarly, we have Bryant Park in Kodaikanal which is situated very near to Coakers Walk as well as the Kodai Lake. The park is home to natural beauty which includes plants, various flowers, and shrubs.
This park is very popular for families with kids as they can play in greenery as well as can do a picnic in those lush green grasses. It's not wrong to say that it is one of the popular attraction amongst tourists who visit Kodaikanal. One more thing to note about Bryant park is that it hosts Annual Horticulture Show which gets garden enthusiasts from over India.
On my first visit to Kodaikanal, I have missed visiting this place, but I made sure I will visit it this time and I had visited it. It has a lot of varieties/species of trees like close to 300 and around 100 varieties of flowering plant which makes it very colourful in the spring season. It also has a eucalyptus tree which is around 150 years old.
You can spot the flowers walking inside the park, some of the flowers I have seen.
We have visited it around 11:30 AM but it is suggested to visit the park in the evening so that you can witness Sunset too from here. Its open from 9AM to 6PM, and they charge extra for DSLR (which I don't know why happens everywhere in India).
It also has a greenhouse inside it where we can find a great variety of flowers and ferns. Few Photos, from Inside of Green House.
We have spend around an hour inside the park and I must say It was worth it.
