Posting in the THGaming Community or using the #thgaming hashtag will now qualify you for the possibility of earning $THGAMING through the standard curation process — upvotes! Promoting quality content remains the primary focus of our curation efforts, so keep that in mind when posting. Curation is not guaranteed and is usually proportional to post quality.

This is a huge step for the @THGaming Guild and something we're not taking lightly. This first week will be a test, but we took the time to research the curation efforts of other tokens. We hope we've learned from some of their early mistakes and will continue to make changes, as necessary. We'll be tracking how much is being earned through upvotes to determing what adjustments to the $THGAMING Curation Rewards Pool are needed, if any.

Where do the tokens come from?

The $THGAMING Reward Pool is currently being drawn (minted) at a rate of 10 $THGAMING Tokens deposited every 120 seconds. This Rewards Pool 'drip' can be increased or decreased depending on market conditions or our goals:

Will this affect the supply?

At the current 'Drip Rate', 216 000 $THGAMING tokens are added to the rewards pool every 30 days. This results in 2.592M per year, and it will take 400 years for the $THGAMING Token supply to 'run dry' from the Minting Pool. In other words, we're not about to hit the 1 billion token ceiling anytime soon.

It's likely that we'll increase this drip rate upon entering Phase 2, but for now it will remain extremely controlled while we collect data to help us determine the right rate for our community.

Is $THGAMING Autonomous?

Previously, we talked a lot about how our first step towards curation rewards was a sort of tipping bot while we prepared the smart contract for standard curation payouts. Now that we've essentially skipped that step, $THGAMING is distributing itself through the automated minting process.

We'll be revisiting the curation/tipping bot in the near future, and we'll be using the information from the smart contract to determine an appropriate tip amount.
