Xenith Monk - A Low Mana Defense For All Battles

Hi, welcome to my post about Splinterlands where I will talk about the Xenith Monk card from the neutral deck. If you don't know splinterlands you can access the game's website through the link below and also find out more about it by looking for the tag #splinterlands .

Access the game: Splinterlands

The Xenith Monks card from the neutral deck belongs to the chaos legion edition which is the most recent edition released by the game, you can buy the card through the marketplace or trying your luck by buying chaos legion packs that cost $4 each. But this value is only if you are going to buy with credits, you can get it cheaper by buying from Hive Engine or buying with DEC in Shop.

To talk about Xenith Monk, let's take a look at his statistics that you can find by clicking on the card in the (Cards) or (Marketplace) part and going to (Stats).

As the image above shows Xenith Monk is a melee monster so he will be useful defending in first position because in other positions he will not be able to attack unless there is a rule in battle that allows it. Its mana cost is 4 which is a low value so it can be used in most battles, especially in battles with low mana cost where it will be an excellent defense without you having to spend a lot of mana.

His attack amount is not very high because he is a more focused card for defense, his speed is not low so he will have no trouble being one of the first cards to attack in battle and he has a good amount of health for a card with 4 mana cost which is excellent for a defensive card like it.

Because it is a neutral deck card it can be used with cards from another deck and this gives you a good advantage because you won't have to limit yourself to choosing a deck just to have it in your battle.

Altogether he has 3 abilities which are Heal, Void and Magic Reflect. I will explain how they work below.

Enable Heal (Level 2)

The Heal ability is an excellent choice for a defensive card because it causes Xenith Monk to recover 1/3 health on its turn, with the minimum value being 2. Healing abilities are always very useful in battle and for Xenith Monk is no exception and in low mana battles where the cards don't have a lot of attack healing becomes even more effective because it gives you time to use it multiple times in battle.

Enable Void (Level 6)

The Void ability is an excellent ability against magic attack cards because it causes the damage of these attacks to be reduced by 1/2. For defensive cards like Xenith Monk it will be excellent because the less damage he takes in the round the more chances he will have to use the Heal ability. Remembering that the damage is reduced by 1/2 but the value is rounded up if it is not an exact number, an example would be a card with 3 magic attack, the damage it would deal would be 2.

Enable Magic Reflect (Level 8)

The Magic Reflect ability is another excellent ability against cards with magic attack because when Xenith Monk is attacked by one of these cards it will deal part of the damage back to the card that attacked it. The value of damage taken back is 1/2 the attack of the card that attacked Xenith Monk and the value is rounded up, so if the card has 3 magic attack it will take 2 damage from the Magic Reflect ability when attacking the monster. Xenith Monk.

These are the stats and abilities of the Xenith Monk card and in my opinion I consider it an excellent choice for low mana battles, especially when your opponent usually uses cards with magic attack in battle, but that doesn't mean it will only be useful in battles. with low mana cost, it will depend on how you will use it and what cards you will use to accompany it in battle.

Value

Let's also talk a little about the price of the card currently that can be found in the marketplace in Splinterlands or trying your luck in the chaos legions packs.

The price of Xenith Monk is currently $0.62 and this makes it one of the highest priced chaos legion edition rare cards on the market, but this is normal for a useful card like it as the demand for it is high. Also, it has remained at high prices since the chaos legion edition was released and it will probably be one of the cards that will get a good price increase when the sale of chaos legion packs ends (this is not an investment tip).

In peakmonster there is a tool that shows the sales chart of a chart in daily, weekly and monthly periods. Let's take a look at how many Xenith Monk cards were sold this week.

The number of cards sold was 1815 in the last 7 days and the average price was $0.497 per BCX and this represents a drop of 8.7% in these 7 days. I find this tool very useful because it shows when a card is at a good price to buy or when it is at a price much higher than what it usually has, so it's always It is very useful to have a look before making any purchase in the market so you don't end up paying too much for a card.

That was my post about the Xenith Monk card, if you want you can also look and participate in my daily giveaway that can be found on my blog. Bye!

LORE

Xenith Monks created the Xenith Scale, a society devoted to enlightenment, knowledge, and the protection of others. Xenith Monks focus on expanding their minds to become more self aware and strive to achieve pure balance in all things in order to understand and comprehend Mana and its impact on the Splinterlands.

The code of the Xenith Scale focuses on the art of healing, shielding, and directing the flow of Mana.

Be a shield to those in need.

Be a guiding light in the darkness.

Be a helping hand to the weary.

Be an unmoving scale, balanced as all things should be.

Magical attacks erupted around the Xenith Monk in bursts of spectacular colors. Fire, lightning, ice, and wind whirled like a hurricane around the warrior, cutting, slicing, and battering her again and again. Blood poured from her wounds, coating the ground red. The energy from the arcane assault kicked up a torrent of smoke around the monk but still it persisted.

In the blinding smoke, the Xenith Monk twisted her hands around in a rhythmic motion. She began to dance within the cloud, her hands moving with unnatural speed. The barrage of arcane attacks continued but slowly, one by one, the Magi of Chaos each stopped their assault. They stared wide eyed inside the cloud of smoke as their attacks froze in space. An arcane hum filled the air.

Suddenly, the still magic at the center of the smoke erupted outwards towards the mages surrounding the monk. The energy collided with mages, knocking them off their feet. Others were cut and pierced by the magical attacks, leaving a bloody mess where they once stood. The few mages who remained glanced around at their allies and finally came to rest their eyes in the center where the smoke now faded. Standing in the middle of a crater was the Xenith Monk with nary a scratch on them. Their wounds were slowly healing as they snapped their neck and knuckles, twirled their arms in a circle, and brushed dirt off of their shoulder.
