I decided to try this season on both the wild and modern ranks, having only played the modern rank since I joined splinterlands. I was wondering what the experience would be like and right now I can say it's not really been as I expected. I was also wondering where all my card rewards were going because I couldn't find most of them whenever I played the modern league until I got the wild pass and played the wild league. Mennnhhh, those cards are really cool. The gladiator cards especially are becoming my favorite although at the moment I only have level one and level two max, I would really like to get more at the end of the season and see how I can increase my card rating.
MY NEW WILD COLLECTION
The wild league is indeed wild, but for some reasons I find it more fun than the modern league (My opinion). I have had as many as 21 winning streaks this season (my first) which I find more interesting than the modern league. Forgive me if you're reading this and you love the modern league more, I just enjoy the wild league experience especially because I get to use my own cards even though not all the time. I'm currently in gold 2, and by tomorrow I hope to enter gold 1. The modern league however hasn't really favored me much since last season when I was stuck in gold 3 for the majority of the season and was only able to advance to gold 2 at the end of the season. This however did not stop me from trying again this week and I'm beginning to think there are strategies I still need to learn or maybe my opponents are just becoming too good 😂.
MY NEW WILD COLLECTION
So far this season I've played about 70 games and won 62 having had four losses and two draws. However, my favorite among all the games I've played so far is this particular one. I prefer using a neutral summoner for most of my battles especially because it gives my monsters extra life, speed and shield plus I can easily switch between elements like I do with dragon summoner. I decided to start my cards with Lemell refugee. It's the first time I'm using it. I got it because of its void armor that allows magic attacks to hit the shield before affecting its health and its enrage ability. I thought it best to use it in the first position followed by Diemonshark, best known for it's enrage, trample and retaliate abilities.
In the third position I had Runemancer Kye, with its flying, fury, and life leech ability. But I love it more for its magic that allows it to attack from any position. Nerissa Tridawn is another magic card I love to use so much, but I put my favorite magic card in fifth position. Djinn Oshannus. Its phase ability is what distinguishes it for me and makes me use it very often (more than the other magic cards) . I mean there's a good chance of it phasing through magic attacks while it attacks at the same time. In the last position I have Swamp Spitter. It's kinda a healing card because it restores some amount of armor to the monster that takes major hits and does double damage at the same time.

MY OPPONENT'S CARDS
Although after watching the game I thought it would have been best I put it in the fourth position in order to protect it and allow it to protect other cards. If my opponent's strategy was with max cards, I doubt I would stand a chance with that silly mistake. But I guess I know better now and would try as much as possible to avoid it in future. So that's all for now, for those who would like to register for splinterlands can click here and follow the very simple process in getting your account ready.
