Here's my 66th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. πβοΈπ‘οΈ
I've FINALLY caught up with all my brawl reports! π±π With this post, I will be completely up to date for the first time in well over a month ever since I went on my end of year travels way back in mid November. π The next brawl is yet to start as it should be. Now let's hope I can keep this pace chugging along for some time. π
It's the β¨π β¨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12β¨π β¨ for the 49th week in a row for me.
The table below shows my accumulated tally of battles in Fray 12 since I first took it up π. πππ
Current Tally for the past 48 brawls | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Number of BattlesβοΈ | Winsβ | Lossesβ | Drawβ | Overall Win % βοΈ |
145 | 87 | 53 | 5 | 60.0% |
There was a slight drop in my percentage overall but I'm right on the mark at exactly 60% now. All I got to do is make sure I don't drop below this. Easier said than done though. I'll be hoping for some easy matches π.
I've managed to accumulate enough for 1 Gladius pack but the contents were average at best. 2 Rares means a better than expected rate, but none of these are useable for me. No legendaries and most of all, no gold foils which could have helped greatly in my Gold Foil Fray 12 bracket that I pick every week.
π€π»ππ€π»ππ€π»π Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope π€£π€ for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter π)
As usual, I make an extra effort to rent β¨Gold Foil Chaos Legionβ¨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.
Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me πππ and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (π€£ yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)
Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. ππ€
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. βοΈβοΈβοΈ
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. π₯π₯π₯
With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles π§βοΈπ‘οΈ, or in some cases where my opponent fled ππ»π¨ - non battles π¨.
βοΈπ‘Let the Battles CommenceβοΈπ‘
WON.
A Gold Foil Gladius card in a Gold Foil Fray like mine is almost overpowered.
Here in this match, my Chimney Wallstop was the clear deciding factor in my victory. Bloodlust turns him into a monster and provides him with a pseudo heal by restoring a bit of his armour and health every time he makes a kill.
The opponent never had a chance the minute Chimney Wallstop started on his killing spree. π
WON.
The clear MVP for my deck was the Deeplurker in this match. It took out the opponent's protected weak units and the battle became increasingly tilted towards my advantage as it progressed.
This was an easy straightforward win for me. π
LOST.
I was a little caught out by the opponent's Regal Peryton to be honest. Had it not been for that, I think I would have easily won the battle. Ah well, this was a lesson learnt. Always expect the unexpected. π€£
πππMy Overall Resultsπππ
2 WINS, 1 LOSS.
It was a pretty decent score overall although I did think my loss was a rather careless one. Perhaps having 2 wins before that made me a little less cautious. Nevertheless, a lesson learnt is always some experience gained.
I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.
π₯π₯π₯Final Standingsπ₯π₯π₯
PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! πππ
This was a marked improvement from the previous brawl where we finished 4th. The 1st placed guild was much too ahead for anyone to catch up with though. But I think everyone should be very pleased with this result.
On a sidenote, we've still got some unfilled frays too so...
BTW, PIZZA 2 is recruiting π and looking for active players who can commit to attending every single guild brawl. Do hop into the PIZZA DISCORD if anyone is interested (or knows someone who is).
Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! ππ»ππ»ππ»
