Growth is Inevitable, Whether you Like it or not 🌱 #APART - A Picture & A Reggae Tune

So my parents are growing some Malabar spinach at home, which is like normal spinach but as an uncontrollable vine. Well, I guess the plant is doing all the growing by itself. Because of all the easy growing it does, I've been coming home with large bags of leaves each time I visit, essentially cutting the amount of vegetables I have to purchase by a lot. So I thought, hey I can grow this too, why not right.

So a few weeks ago I took some of the seeds, about three rooted mini plants from the ground and a few broken of twigs home. I threw the seeds randomly in the yard. The mini plants with roots and the twigs (cut ends of the vine) where placed in small containers. Everything in the containers started showing signs of growth within a day. The twigs had no roots whatsoever on them and grew as hard as the ones with roots. The scattered seeds in the yard however did nothing. Maybe I should've watered those.

But as you can see, in about two weeks the twigs have become vines themselves and are starting to take over the front porch where the containers are. One is even trying to get inside the house through the windows.

This concept of growth is similar to real life. Where there is life, growth is inevitable. Whether you like it or not or put any effort into it, growth is possible and happening all around you and within you. If you work hard, you might grow to become a better person, but even if you don't and are negative, you will still grow, but then into a shitty person. Either way, you will grow. So take hold of your growth and decide on the journey to a better you. You only have one life. Or so they say. :)

Que music!

Just typing in "growth reggae music" into YouTube I came across this artist Rygin King and his tune "How Me Grow". He goes on about the hardships he had to endure and how he grew from it and how it made him the person he is today. A great message to take from this riddim is to never forget where yu come from.

#APART is an initiative by the IRIE down-to-earth people at the ReggaeJAHM Community where you share a picture alongside a Reggae tune the picture reminds you of.
