Las fotos locas de suculentas siempre aparecen en mi móvil ya sea que Google me lo recuerda, o mi mamá , quizá algún amigo que me dice “hey, este cactus se parece a ti” jajaja así que puedo afirmar que éstas son parte de mi vida, las atraigo. En esta ocasión les quiero hablar acerca de las plantitas (en su mayoría cactus) que tengo ahora acompañándome.

Crazy pictures of succulents always pop up on my mobile either Google reminds me, or my mom , maybe some friend who tells me "hey, this cactus looks like you" hahaha so I can say that these are part of my life, I attract them. This time I want to talk about the little plants (mostly cactus) that I have now accompanying me.

Yo suelo tener una planta cerca de mi siempre, realmente son para mi como una bombona de oxígeno, un antiestrés, un deleite visual, un motivo de responsabilidad entre tantas otras cosas… Aunque respecto a este último punto tengo que decir que he fallado, pues hace unos meses me fui de viaje y literalmente todas mis plantas murieron ¡TODAS! Pensé que no estaría tanto tiempo fuera y realmente las deje en malas condiciones, ni siquiera les deje un sistema de riego ¡NADA! Entonces, al llegar me encontré con un cementerio de cactus.

No se que paso conmigo que no lo repuse, estuve como en un duelo (modo drama activado) así que pase varios meses sin hojas bonitas cerca. Hasta que viajé a mi casa y le pedí a mi mamá algunos “hijos” de cactus. La mala noticia es que mis maceteros desaparecieron, solo quedaron dos y uno que había hecho por mi misma, entonces aplique la vieja confiable ¡RECICLAR! Conseguí varios envases de plástico y listo. En estas primeras fotos les presento un agave, es muy lindo y simple, por eso lo escogí.
I don't know what happened to me that I didn't replenish it, I was kind of in mourning (drama mode on) so I spent several months with no pretty leaves around. The bad news is that my pots disappeared, there were only two left and one that I had made myself, so I applied the old reliable RECYCLING! I got some plastic containers and that was it. Mi lugar de residencia es bastante pequeño, no puedo tener plantas grandes y de interior quizá solo una. Estas viven en mis ventanas y de vez en cuando las pongo dentro. (Debo aclarar aquí que no todas son suculentas, pero si la mayoría). Esta belleza es suculenta que me gusta mucho, se llama Dudleya Greenei Rose. Su maceta no es más que un envase de aceite mineral jajaj ¿como la ven?

Si, pues elimina del aire que respiramos varios tóxicos dañinos. Es considerada una suculenta. Les cuento que esa macetita la hice yo misma con cemento y unos moldes de plástico, tenía otras tantas pero las regalé. A esta la tengo también en la ventana aunque a veces la meto al cuarto y que pasa días adentro, igual que su hermana grande.

Ésta es otra especie de Lengua de suegra, en casa le dicen “cebra” la conseguí al lado de su planta madre, estaba fuera de la tierra , imagino que tenia tiempo allí (son absurdamente resistentes) así que por eso se ve un tanto “atropellada” La acompaña un bebe suculenta.

Y por último, les quiero enseñar mis avances de 20 días en reproducción de suculentas. Lo único que hice fue sacar con mucho cuidado algunas hojas a la Dudleya y ponerlas dentro de esta especie de “mini invernadero” que hice con una botella de plástico. Les ha ido muy bien, solamente quería hacer la prueba de si podrá reproducirlas de esa forma.
And finally, I want to show you my 20 days progress in succulent reproduction. The only thing I did was to carefully remove some leaves from the Dudleya and put them inside this kind of "mini greenhouse" that I made with a plastic bottle. They have done very well, I just wanted to test if I will be able to reproduce them that way.
