One more day and a lot of seeds to sow.

The truth is that right now I have too many seedbeds and many seeds to sow, on Thursday I visited my friend Fernando and he gave me approximately 200 seeds of different species and the idea is to sow them all together, the only ones I will put aside will be the seeds of the monkey tail (Cleistocactus colademononis) because this cactus is quite expensive in my country, and as my friend Fernando is not good at sowing seeds, we agreed that I would sow them and we will split 50/50.

But this is not the only way I get seeds, in fact I have this beautiful fruit full of Gymnocalycium seeds, it has been a few weeks since I did the pollination and I was waiting for the right moment to remove the seeds, today that moment came, the fruit opened by itself and it is time to remove the seeds to start a new seedbed.

I don't only have these seeds, I have two other gymnos that also have seeds but they are not ready to be harvested yet, the truth is that it is very exciting to do this work, it is the result of the effort of several weeks, but it is very nice to see how they are growing the flower and later the seeds, I know it will be many years before I can see these little cactus giving their first flower, but it is a hope that keeps me on my feet every day.

Without realizing it the love for cacti and succulents has become part of my life, and today I can't imagine being away from home for a week without missing seeing my plants, they are living beings that earned my love and admiration.

I also have many seeds of the mammillaria prolifera, but that one is so abundant that I don't think it is worth sowing the seeds, since it reproduces by offspring quite fast, although it is possible that in a couple of days I will show you some pictures of how the plant looks full of fruits, until here for the moment, Monster-one bids you farewell.
