Feliz y bendecido dia, estoy mas emocionada, que niña con caramelos! Despues de una larga espera ha florecido la flor mas espectacular que he tenido, no lo negare huele horrible, como a animal muerto jajaja aunque es tan hermosa, distinta y excéntrica que la amo, una mañana sin avisar, solo desplegó sus alas, 😍 desde hace unos 15 dias la estoy esperando, entre tanto que hacer del dia no me habia percatado de su capullo, tan delicado y tan bello como es de esperar!

After a long wait, the most spectacular flower I have ever had has blossomed, I will not deny it, it smells horrible, like a dead animal hahaha although it is so beautiful, different and eccentric that I love it, one morning without warning, it only spread its wings, 😍 since I've been waiting for her for about 15 days, in the meantime I hadn't noticed her cocoon, so delicate and as beautiful as expected!

Stapelia gigantea es una planta suculenta muy común en colecciones de crasas en todo el mundo por la inigualable belleza de sus flores. Su olor es muy característico y fétido, atrae a las moscas a ella de alli su nombre mas coloquial se podría decir 🌼

Las flores de esta especie son las más grandes del género logrando alcanzar más de 35 cm de diámetro. Tienen forma de estrella (5 pétalos (llamados lóbulos) normalmente aunque raramente pueden ser más) con variaciones de coloraciones según la variedad o híbridos de ella. El color más común es amarillo-crema!
Desde hace un tiempo colecciono suculentas, esta me la regalo mi madre hace 4 años, a los dias que me la regalo dio su primera flor, hasta hoy que volvio a dar una nueva 4 años de espera y luego 15 dias vigilando el momento de que abriera esta hermosa flor!

The flowers of this species are the largest of the genus, reaching more than 35 cm in diameter. They have a star shape (5 petals (called lobes) normally although rarely more can be) with color variations depending on the variety or hybrids of it. The most common color is yellow-cream!
For some time I have been collecting succulents, this was given to me by my mother 4 years ago, the days she gave it to me her first flower, until today when she gave a new one, 4 years of waiting and then 15 days watching the moment that open this beautiful flower!

Esta suculenta necesita crecer a pleno sol para incentivar su floración y un crecimiento sano y correcto, Supongo que por esta razón no habían salido mas flores, ya que la tenia en el interior y le llegaba poco sol! Al cambiarla a la parte de afuera donde ahora si recibe el sol durante gran parte del dia, todo cambio y ha nacido su flor 😍

This succulent needs to grow in full sun to encourage its flowering and a healthy and correct growth, I suppose that for this reason no more flowers had come out, since it had it inside and it was little Sun! By changing it to the outside where now if it receives the sun for much of the day, everything changed and its flower has been born 😍
