Understanding the scriptures is a gift of the holy spirit. Not everyone will understand when they read (Acts 8:28-35)

In order to understand the scriptures there is need for divine guidance

Mark 4:11-12 Not all have been given opportunity to understand the words of the scriptures, understanding comes when we submit to God's will and allow his spirit to guide us.
