After amazing hymns and melodies from the choir and orchestra here are some of the things I learnt
We are to submit all our body to God for our prayers to be heard.
1 Corinthians 7:3-5
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
The husband has power over your body as a wife and so also does a wife too.
At a time you want to pray and fast, a husband and a wife should abstain themselves for that period of time on agreement.
When science fails, prayer prevails, prayer can do very much for us.
When we are praying we should avoid sexual relations.
Fasting is an act that should be done with prayer.
Isaiah 58:6-8
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward.
If you want to fast you should loose the ban of anything that we are so addicted to, we should seize from vices, evil works and if we have some debts we forgive
Mathew 6:12
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
If you are fasting and you are not eating, you should give your bread to the hungry, you see a homeless person bring the person to your home, you see someone that doesn't have cloths give the person cloths.
Fasting for three days can regenerate the entire immune system.
Mathew 6:16-17
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Fasting is not something that needs to be showed off, it should be something that is done in secrecy.
We shouldn't broadcast or let people know that we are fasting.
