Brother Eli defined prayer as bringing your requests to God. It’s also a doctrine of Christ for a believer to ask from God and believe that he will give you your heart desires.
Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins. Calling on the name of the Lord.
The moment you accept Jesus Christ and you embrace the truth of Gods word and get baptized, your prayer would be answered.
Some conditions for answered prayers.
- Repent from your sins
- pray with a clean heart
Jeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Make sure you approach God with a heart free from distractions and uncleanliness. And how you clean your heart is by the word of God.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
3)Be faithful to your spouse.
If you are not faithful to your spouse, your prayers can be hindered.
1peter 3:7 Husbands likewise dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife as to the weaker vessel, as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
2 Timothy 2:18 Do away with all act of flesh like gambling, womanizing, gossiping e.t.c.
Always God to God in prayers because only he can meet your needs and satisfy you.
