Ezekiel 3: 17-19. Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die, and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.
It is the responsibility of the preacher to teach the word of God. The word a preacher teaches must neyyr word of God. Many had died in the wrong doctrines because a preacher teached them wrong things about the word of God.
Acts 18:2-3 And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.
And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
Bro Eli said that it is important for a Pastor to work with his hands. Apostle Paul worked as a tent maker. If as a Pastor, you don't want to deceive your followers to make money out of them, you must work. It is wrong to say that a Pastor should not work. Some misconstrue God’s word by saying ‘Yoi cannot serve God and man on’ so a pastor is not meant to work. Working does not make you serve mammon. It's important to work and make earnings to meet your needs.
Bro Eli also shared from the books of Proverbs 8:22 that Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God that was with him from the beginning of creation.
1corinthians 2:34 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
Christ is the personification of the wisdom and the power of God. All things were made by him.
