We should be humble and not to glory in our wisdom, might or riches.
Thus saith the Lord , Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches
We should acknowledge God who richly gave us all things to enjoy.
Like Paul, we should learn to be contented with whatever we have.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Luke 14:11 says, whosoever exalt himself shall be abase and whosoever humble himself shall be exalted.
Pride takes away peace.
Our aim is to be holy, so we should be humble.
By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.
We shouldn't be conformed to the worldly things
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
For us to be able to proclaim the honour of whom that called us, we have to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called.
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
Thanks be to God!
