I joined the the Live Thanksgiving service via zoom and I learnt a lot from the teaching by bro Daniel.
In this video, I shared some of the lessons I learned from the worship service. Watch and be blessed.
Some of the important points learned from the words of God discussed in the Zoom meeting are:
- If we are separated from Jesus, we have no light and no brightness
- Without Christ, there is nothing we can do.
- It is important that we are keeping the word of God in our heart. To keep the word of God in our heart, we need a good heart.
- We should keep away from people that bring evil. Evil company currupt good manner.
- For us to shine, we should have love
- The light should not be under a bed.
- Christ is the head of the house of God. The house of God is the church of God and light is there. God is light and Christ is light. Light is in the church since Christ is in the church.
- We are also light and our light should so shine.
- Of all the good things we do, the only 3 things we are told hide are giving harms, praying and fasting. All other good things we do should be seen by men.
- According to Matthew 24:40,the field is the church. In the field or the house, there are those who shine
- Those who are in darkness will be thrown out. All unprofitable servant will be thrown outside where the darkness is.
- In the house or the field, there are those that will be taken and those that will be left.
- If you want to be among those that will be taken, you should know what to do to be among those that will be taken.
- We should shine. If we don't shine, we won't be among those that will be taken and we will be thrown out.
My former beliefs or expectation that was improved for listening at the Zoom meeting
From the teaching we were made to understand that we should let our light shine so that all men will be able to see our light. It means we should let all men see our good deed. Doing that is not showing off, if people did not see the light in us, there is no we will be able to attract them.
The only 3 things that we hide from people is giving arms, praying and fasting.
Ways in which the study affect us that can make us a better person that we can use in our daily lives
From the teaching we were made to understand we should not keep the company of people doing evil. Evil company currupt good manners.
We are also to be very careful because the evil ones have already joined the church but they are still doing evil.
