What I gained from the the 6th day mass indoctrination: The teaching of Brother Eli taught us to confess our sins. Our sins should be confessed to God first and then to the person whom we have offended i.e the person we have offended.
James 5:16 KJV
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Love covers multitude of sins, with love in our heart, it will be easy for us to confess our sins.
There are two kinds of sins which are;
- Sin unto death: the one we do consciously
- Sin not unto death: the one done unconsciously.
1 John 5:16 KJV
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
He mentioned how to pray. Prayer is said to be a doctrine and must be done according to the word of God. Exodus 3:5 KJV And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
Philippians 4:6 KJV
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Hebrews 4:16 KJV
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Daniel 9:18 KJV
O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
We are the temple of God, hence we must be holy.
