Praying Rightly. MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

We thank God for His grace which He granted unto us to be able to attend and listen to the doctrines of the church as explained to us by Bro Eli Soriano during this MCGI Mass Indoctrination. Jesus said: for without me ye can do nothing, John 15:5. Apostles also mentioned: I am what I am by the grace of God, 1 Corinthians 15:10 It is of his grace that we have the ability and power to do anything good.

We have been taught according to the Bible how we should pray rightly so that God will hear us and answer us.

Praying With Clean Hearts

Proverbs 15:8 (KJV) The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

God detest the prayers of a sinner. He sinner makes God angry with him every day. But the prayers of the righteous is God's delight. Therefore, we should ensure that we come before God during prayers with clean hearts. We should forgive those who offend us. We should approach God in righteousness.

Avoiding Vain Repetitions

Matthew 6:7-8 (KJV) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Our God hears us and even knows what we want to ask him even before we start asking. Praying with vain repetitions is not necessary. God already knows what we want to ask before we ask. Let us make our prayers simple and and using careless words.

Not Like The Hypocrites

Matthew 6:5 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen as men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Our prayers should not be like the hypocrites. We should pray as unto God not unto man. We should not be hypocritical in our prayers. We should not pray for people to see us and applaud us. We should let our prayers be unto God and God alone.

These are some of the many great lessons I have derived from the doctrines. I hope that God will help me to put them to practice. I wish you too could do the same.
