Learning To Forgive 16th June,2021

Here are my thoughts on today's topic based on what I learnt From Brother Eli's video.

This is a short summary, so you can kindly watch my video below for further understanding.

Forgiveness is an act, it is not inborn.
It is the nature of every man to be wicked, but we all have the opportunity to change that default setting by trying to position our lives according to Gods will.

God has commanded everyone to forgive.
But the truth is we can not forgive other when we do not forgive ourselves.
And the way we can forgive ourselves was talked on in my video (please kindly watch).

When we forgive ourselves, we can then forgive others.

As Christian, our first reaction when we are been wronged by someone is to be happy.
The reason why we have to be happy is because that even is an opportunity given to us by God to grow our forgiving spirit.
Matthew 6:14
King James Version
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

So it is an opportunity to also allow God to forgive us of our own wrong. When we don't forgive, we then limit the forgiving hand of God upon us.

Matthew 6:15
King James Version
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Remember that is the journey of life, everyone will definitely make mistakes, and those mistakes might be to the detriment of some other people. Meaning one day you might be in a position where you will be the one asking for forgive.

Ecclesiastes 7:20
King James Version
20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

No man is perfect. So we must always be ready to forgive, when people wrong us.
When our heart is ready, forgiveness becomes easy.
Lastly remember that forgiveness is not complete when you do not forget about it.

Thank you and God bless you.
