Hi people of God,
My name is Alani Jeremiah Jesuseunfunmi.
Today is the 4th day of May, 2021 which is even my birthday.
I'm contributing to the biblical question tagged;
"Are we God's Children?"
To be God's children requires spiritual qualities or virtues.
It is not a thing that should be imposed or forced on us.
To be God's children we have to undergo some processes, passing through some criteria that the LORD has laid on us biblically.
Matthew 5:44-45 But i say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them which despitefully use you and persecute you.
Verse 45 That ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven: for maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good and sendeth rain on the just and the on unjust.
If we study verse 44 closely, in order to be worthy of being the children of God, we have to learn all these virtues that Jesus Christ was talking about.
For us to be "children of our father in heaven"
we have to be selfless and not selfish.
Bless them that curse you.
Love your enemies.
Pray for them.
Do good to all people.
Do good to your persecutors.
Be compassionate (Luke 6:35)
we have to do what God wants us to do.
Biblically speaking, we must not lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
It is impossible to serve God while we are leaning on our own understanding.
We have to follow God by denying ourselves and taking up our cross.
I pray that God will continue to strengthen us in Jesus' name.
