FOOD PHOTOGRAPHY VOL.1

Food Photography is my favorite type of photography. Probably because I am a huge foodie and my Vivi is even more deeply into it. Not only that, there are other pros for that: the object is static, so there is no rush, you can adjust lighting, you have a lot of room for playing and creativity and much more. However, taking photos of food at the home studio where you have optimal lighting is easy, on the other side taking food photography in restaurants is more complicated. For me is just another challenge. When we are doing our food reviews we can’t jump all over the restaurant and have our gear everywhere. This pushes us to some extremes and here are the results.

Sometimes we catch colors another time patterns, but there are occasions like this when we get the best from both worlds. Hot hot hot like fire.

If we speak about photography styles, there are many. But which one to use? Probably it is more important about the food itself. If it rustic, then there is no other option ;)

No matter the style, we should never forget about the details. To be honest, details are the easiest to shot. When we get more comfortable, we can move back and take more into our composition.

And if you think it is a better object for photography if it is a luxury and expensive one, you are wrong. A good photo should come out no matters the ingredient.

Cheap or expensive

It is always more exciting if the photo is talking a story. And to achieve that story, what can be better than add some action into it. Just don't forget, food is a star;)
