These are the towering cliffs you hike underneath on the Grand Wash in Capitol Reef

Continuing the story of the week taking my siblings on a trip to see all 5 utah national parks and documenting them with my cell phone.

This was our visit to Capitol Reef NP and in particular the Grand Wash hike ... which is a pretty easy stroll up and back a pretty flat wash that goes through some pretty impressive cliffs.

I love the park in particular cathedral valley but that is usually a multi day offroad trip so we kept the park visit short and had some other hikes to do that day elsewhere.

But we did drive around a bit more

Technically this is just outside the park but I consider the area just outside capitol reef just as cool as the park itself so I count it.
