"I was on my way to the dentist while my body began to disintegrate" - a dream interpretation

The dream

I had a strange dream. In the dream, I did something against my parents' opinion and finally gave in to no other choice and did as they pleased. While doing as they requested my enamel falls off and I begin to collect so that the dentist will stick them back on. On my way to the dentist, the nails in my feet fall off and suddenly one leg breaks apart like a Lego piece and I am limping the rest of the way to the dentist. What is the meaning of the dream? By the way, the whole dream is in bitter tears. Next month I'll be 40.

My Interpretation to your dream

What you did was contrary to your parents' opinion, but you did it for lack of a choice, that is, against your own will.

Teeth, nails, legs and all of our body parts have many symbolic meanings and it depends very much on the circumstances of your life. However, in this dream - because there are no barriers between the inner world and the "external"/physical - the organs of the body are an excellent representation of your inner world.

The dream, therefore, says this clearly - if you keep ignoring your needs and sacrifice what you want on the altar of other people's preferences, your reality will begin to collapse. No wonder you cry in the dream. It is your inner self that feels (and not necessarily in the context of the specific act in the dream) that it has no room for expression in your life.

You are already 40 years old and this is the age where it is possible and worthwhile to put yourself in the center. No one is more important than you. Nor your parents.

What's interesting is that on another level, the crying is not your own but your parents' crying. However, because of the telepathic connections in the dream you felt their grief and cried. In fact, because of your sensitivity to them and love and empathy, their mental distress made you cry even more.

Which distress? They also know (in the dream) that you are offering a sacrifice for them, that you are doing it with no other choice and that the deed does not make you happy. And when you are not happy they are not happy either. So, it seems to you that you have satisfied them but it is only on the surface. Their insides know very well that your victim-mentality does not serve anyone.

On another level your parents are not your "parents" but only representations of the parts of the personality that fight against the inner self (i.e. "you" in the dream). You have to ask yourself, where do you sacrifice your needs for the benefit of others, what are you giving up unnecessarily, where do you block yourself in expressing who you are?!
