La Abeja Reina y su Colmena

Hoy fuimos en busca de la Reina - de la abeja Reina y su colmena entera. Fuimos a recogerlas de un Apicultor de la región que muy amablemente nos proveyó de una colmena. También nos dio excelentes consejos para comenzar y hasta nos regaló un par de frascos de miel de su propia cosecha. Como les mencioné hace unos días; mi esposa y yo somos aficionados a la jardinería, pero en esta ocasión estamos intentando incursionar en el mundo de la Apicultura. A través de estos vídeos comparto con ustedes nuestras experiencias. ¡Espero que lo disfruten!

Aprovecho la ocasión para animarlos nuevamente a cuidar de las abejas ya que ellas son esenciales para la naturaleza y literalmente la existencia humana. Ellas son en gran parte responsable de la polinización de flores, árboles frutales y hortalizas. Eso quiere decir que nuestras cosechas son directamente afectadas por la actividad de las abejas. En este sentido la apicultura es un pasatiempo, sin embargo es un pasatiempo que beneficia a miles o millones de personas. No destruyas los panales, no uses insecticida o pesticidas y sobre todo - no mates a las abejas. Usualmente son inofensivas y sólo atacan si se sienten en peligro.

Today we went in search of the Queen - of the Queen bee and her entire HIVE. We went to pick them up from a beekeeper in the region who very kindly provided us with a hive. He also gave us great tips to get started and he even gave us a couple of jars of honey from his own harvest. As I mentioned to you a few days ago; My wife and I are gardening enthusiasts, but this time we are trying to venture into the world of beekeeping. I take this opportunity to once again encourage you to take care of bees as they are essential to nature and literally to human existence. They are largely responsible for the pollination of flowers, fruit trees, and vegetables. That means that our crops are directly affected by the activity of bees. In this sense beekeeping is a hobby, however, it is a hobby that benefits thousands or millions of people. Do not destroy the honeycombs, do not use insecticide or pesticides and above all - do not kill the bees. They are usually harmless and only attack if they feel in danger.
