Frustration, that feeling we've all experienced at one time or another and it's not at all pleasant. This week I experienced it two days in a row, so I wanted to tell you why.

For some time now I have wanted to take a course on a system called Sabre, it is even among my goals for before the end of the year. Last week I saw that they would do this course by video call, for free. It would be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, starting at 10 AM in the morning.

I was very conscious that I wanted to do it, I got my notebook and pencil to write down, my phone with enough charge and internet to be able to connect in the class.

I connected in the class, everything was going very well, I was understanding everything, I was taking notes and at about 11am, when the class was halfway through the power went out, and the wifi went down, that made me leave the online class.

I tried to connect again with the internet on my phone but they did not allow me to log in, I asked why this was happening and it was because if I left the class I could not log in again.

And this is where the feeling of frustration really started, I did not leave the class because I wanted to, here in Venezuela the power goes out very often, without prior notice.

For this reason I could not see the class and I missed the most important steps.

On Tuesday, I was going to watch the second class again. I tried to connect to the class and they wouldn't give me access either, this time because the class was earlier and they had said so in Monday's class (which I couldn't see).

Again I was frustrated, I wanted to see the class, but it seemed that this rule of accessing only at the time of the class would not allow me to do so. After several attempts, I was accepted and fortunately the power didn't go out and I saw what was left of the class.

I was quite lost, because I didn't see the first class and the second class I saw from the middle on. I was very frustrated because I didn't understand the class. I tried to understand what I could and write down tips.

On Wednesday I was able to enter at the corresponding time and I saw the entire class, there was no interruption of light, so I could see everything and write down calmly.

I was still a little frustrated because I would have liked to see the 3 complete classes.

I feel that there are always things that are out of our control, like the lights going out, and also that sometimes you just have to accept that there are regulations and you have to respect them, even if you feel they are unfair.

For the moment my idea of doing this course is still on, because I know that those two incomplete classes had the basis to understand many things.

From what I saw, I feel that I did understand basic notions. That gives me some peace of mind.

Frustration has a great value, it was fair and necessary to feel it, it is not pleasant to experience it, there are situations where frustration is the ideal feeling because it corresponds to what is happening, it would be totally incongruous to be happy at a time like this. There comes a time when we let go of frustration so that other emotions can come and we don't get stuck with what happened to us.

La frustración, ese sentimiento que todos alguna vez hemos experimentado y que no es para nada agradable. Esta semana lo experimente dos días seguidos, así que quise contarles el por qué de ello.

Desde hace tiempo he querido hacer un curso sobre un sistema que se llama Sabre, incluso está entre mis metas para antes que finalice el año. La semana pasada ví que harian este curso por videollamada, de forma gratuita. Sería lunes, martes y miércoles, desde las 10 AM de la mañana.

Tenía muy presente que lo quería hacer, busqué mi cuaderno y lápiz para anotar, el teléfono con suficiente carga e internet para poder conectarme en la clase.

Me conecté en la clase, todo iba muy bien, estaba entendiendo todo, iba anotando y a eso de las 11am, cuando la clase iba a la mitad se fue la luz, y el wifi se cayó, eso hizo que saliera de la clase online.

Busqué conectarme de nuevo con el internet del teléfono pero no me accedían la entrada, pregunte por qué pasaba esto y era porque si salía de la clase no podía volver a entrar.

Y aquí es donde empezó realmente la sensación de frustración, yo no salí de la clase porque quise, aquí en Venezuela se va la luz con mucha frecuencia, sin previo aviso.

Por esa razón no pude ver la clase y me perdí de los pasos más importantes.

El día martes, nuevamente iba a ver la segunda clase. Busqué conectarme a la clase y tampoco me daban acceso, esta vez porque la clase era más temprano y lo habían dicho en la clase del lunes (la cuál no pude ver).

Nuevamente me sentía frustrada, yo quería ver la clase, pero parecía que esa norma de acceder solo a la hora de la clase no me lo permitiría. Después de varios intentos, me aceptaron y afortunadamente no se fue la luz y vi lo que quedó de clase.

Estaba bastante perdida, porque no ví la primera clase y la segunda la vi de la mitad para adelante. Me sentía muy frustrada por no entender la clase. Busque entender lo que pude e ir anotando tips.

El día miércoles si pude entrar a la hora correspondiente y vi la clase completa, no hubo interrupción de luz, así que pude ver todo y anotar tranquila.

Seguía con algo de frustración porque me hubiera gustado ver las 3 clases completas.

Siento que siempre hay cosas que se salen de nuestro control como el que se fuera la luz, y también que a veces solo toca aceptar que hay normativas y hay que respetarlas, aunque sienta que son injustas.

Por el momento mi idea de hacer este curso sigue en pie, porque si sé que esas dos clases incompletas tenían la base para entender muchas cosas.

De lo que ví, siento que si entendí nociones básicas. Eso me da algo de tranquilidad.

La frustración tiene un gran valor, era justo y necesario sentirla, no es agradable experimentarla, hay situaciones donde la frustración es el sentimiento ideal porque corresponde a lo que está pasando, fuera sido totalmente incongruente estar feliz en un momento así. Llega el momento donde se deja ir la frustración para que vengan otras emociones y no quedarnos enganchados con eso que nos ocurrió.
